Hamas

Annual turnover: $1 billion

Region: West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Main funding sources: taxes and fees, financial aid and donations (especially Qatar).

Purpose: militant struggle against the state of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian Islamic state from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River

Hamas’s militant coup and its taking over of the Gaza strip, back in 2007, ushered this organization into the big league.

In less than a decade, Hamas managed to turn the organization – which used to rely on donations from countries and charities – to a huge conglomerate. About 15% of Gaza’s economy ends up in this organizations pocket, through taxes and levies on goods and consumer goods entering the Gaza Strip, such as cigarettes and gasoline, and licensing fees for cars, motorcycles and even carts. Taxes that once went to the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah now go to Hamas.
Contrary to common belief, Hamas does not make money from the smuggling tunnels underneath the Egyptian border. Those were dried out quite effectively by the army of Egypt’s General al-Sisi. The donations from Qatar and Iran are also as not as significant as they used to be. Hamas makes most of it money from a sophisticated tax system, aimed at, among other things, pocketing large portions of the international aid that flows into Gaza. For example, Hamas taxes money changers that convert foreign currency to shekels, and gains tens of millions by doing so.

In addition, Hamas runs hundreds of businesses which control a variety of areas – from real estate, insurance, banking, hotels and tourism, to fish farms and banquet halls. Conducting its business, Hamas uses various Mafia methods to maximize its income. For example, after purchasing a banquet hall – a lucrative business in Gaza – a string of miss-fortunes befell Hamas’s competition. Hamas also took over several banks, and everyone that wishes to do business with the government in Gaza need to certify they are working with the right bank

Hamas’s total income from taxes, fees and duties, and from the businesses it runs – both directly and through straw men – is estimated at half a billion dollars. Hamas also enjoys private donations from businesses and organizations all over the world. Hamas’s principal backer in recent years is Qatar, which donates hundreds of millions of dollars to the organization annually.

UNCONFIRMED reports claim that Israel has bombed a Libyan facility holding an Iranian weapons stockpile awaiting delivery to Hamas in Gaza

Barack Hussein Obama’s happy dance over his shady deal with Iran has dangerous implications for other countries, above and beyond the nuclear threat.

Liberty News (h/t Alicia)  Once sanctions are lifted, Iran will be in a significantly better position financially, enabling them finance den more terrorism across the Middle East. Specifically, its efforts in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and the Gaza Strip. Even without the additional financial boom Obama will give Iran through the lifting of sanctions, Iran is already financing a new Hamas front against Israel.

On Tuesday, DEBKAfile’s military sources reveal that unidentified aircraft bombed Burak, a small military base in the Fezzan province of southwestern Libya, which serves Iran as a transit store for arms purchased in Sudan for the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.

The weapons, which recently reached the Libyan base through Chad, were destroyed. They were scheduled to be smuggled through Egypt and Sinai and onto Gaza. Western military sources attributed responsibility for the bombardment to the Egyptian or Israeli air forces. Both Israel and Egypt have declined to comment on the report.

Al Watan added that Egypt allowed the Israeli jet to pass through its airspace en route to southern Libya.

To strengthen Iran’s grip on the key Red Sea gateway, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered two naval task forces to sail to the Red Sea. They are to fend off a Saudi-Egyptian offensive to dislodge the Houthi battalions now holding a point linking the Red Sea and the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf.

The naval task forces are being sent to draw a sea shield around the Houthi forces to defend them against Saudi-Egyptian assaults. This maneuver was orchestrated by the Al Qods Brigades chief Gen. Qassem Soleimani. Our sources report that the 33rd task force set out on its mission Tuesday night from the Gulf port of Bandar Abbas.

“F*ck you, Zionist scums,” shout pro-Hamas students at Cornell University

On November 19, 2014, Cornell Students for Justice in Palestine organized a mock Israeli checkpoint at Ho Plaza, a central student gathering point on campus between the Cornell Bookstore and Willard Straight Hall, where many student activities are centered.

Legal Insurrection  Casey Breznick, Editor in Chief of the Cornell Review and an author at Legal Insurrection, has the story at the Cornell Review Blog of a confrontation that took place when a group of pro-Israel students counter-protested holding Israeli flags and signs calling for peace.

Here is video we put together based on footage provided to us by multiple student sources, showing Yang-Stevens pulling the same ploy she pulled on me last April, claiming that the student had his camera in her face (which he denies both in the video and also in communications with me), as Yang-Stevens taunted the pro-Israel student to hit her while shouting out “Fuck you Zionist scums” and “oppression will be met with aggression.”

JERUSALEM: Two Jewish men stabbed, but survive, in an apparent Arab Muslim terrorist attack

A Jewish man in his 40s is in moderate-to-serious condition after being stabbed in the upper torso, while another man sustained light wounds, police said, when both were attacked by a group of Arab Muslim assailants near the Old City’s Jaffa Gate. According to Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, police “strongly believe the stabbing was a terrorist attack.”

Right on schedule, the international community rushes to blame Israel

JPost (h/t Mathijs B)  “The victims were surrounded by a group of Arab Muslim men, and one was stabbed and the other was lightly injured, although it is not clear if he was stabbed as well,” Rosenfeld said shortly following the attack.

Police arrested one of the suspects and continue to search for the others after they fled the scene, he said, adding that the stabbing victim managed to walk to a nearby police station where he received first aid before being rushed to Shaare Zedek Medical Center. “Police continue to search the Old City for the other suspects and hope to make arrests soon,” Rosenfeld said.

Meanwhile, police announced on Monday that an Arab resident of the Old City was arrested last week on suspicion of spreading violent propaganda on his Facebook page. In a statement, police said Mahmoud Asila, 32, was arrested on November 18 for posting photos and videos deemed as “incitement,” which called for running over security forces and for attempting to spur car attacks against Israelis in general.

Palestinian leaders call rabbis murdered in Jerusalem synagogue attack “terrorists”

abbasPalestinian leaders reacted to Tuesday’s bloody attack by two Muslim terrorist on a synagogue in West Jerusalem by characterizing the synagogue as “a command center” and the murdered victims as “terrorists.” (It’s time to bomb the al-Aqsa mosque to smithereens and replace it with a temple)

CNS News  Hamas described the attack as “a quality development in the confrontation with the Israeli occupation.”  Hamas spokesman Sheikh Ismail Aal Radhwan called the four murdered rabbis “the greatest terrorists in that racist state,” concluding that “these are no civilians. They are terrorists.” “Blood will be met with blood, killing will be met with killing, and the defiling of the holy places will be met by resistance, and by the heads of the Zionist rabbis, who are the greatest terrorists in that racist state,” Radhwan told Al Quds TV in Lebanon.

“That synagogue is a kind of command center for the planning of acts of aggression against our people and our holy places. This is no prayer synagogue. Otherwise, how can we account for the presence of American and British citizens there?” asked Abu Ahmand Fouad, deputy secretary-general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

THE JIHAD ORIGINS OF THE OKLAHOMA BEHEADER’S HAMAS MOSQUE

At first, the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City (ISGOC) had denied knowing or being familiar with alleged beheader Jah’Keem Yisrael, nee Alton Nolen. When pictures emerged of Jah’Keem praying at the mosque on his Facebook page, the mosque’s story radically changed.

The media seamlessly reported the morphing narrative without question. Then the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City went into full damage-control and victimhood mode. Their response? Leaders of the ISOGC wanted security protection from the phantom “Islamophobia” and the “backlash” that never happens.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Nolen was a regular at Friday prayers at Masjid An-Nasr, a mosque in Oklahoma City that is part of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City. Saad Mohammed, director of Islamic information ISGOC, said: “There was nothing about him that alarmed us at all.”

Like so many jihadists, Jah’keem Yisrael converted to Islam in jail. Prisons have long been recruiting centers for jihadists. According to one attendee, the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma’s mosque reinforced the hate and violence in the Islamic texts and teachingsextolled by prison jihad recruiters.

It has also come to light that the Nolen’s mosque has close ties to Hamas and al Qaeda.

Mufid Abdel Qader, the younger half-brother of Hamas’ supreme political leader and world’s leading terrorist, Khaled Mashal, was the founder and incorporator of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City.

Abdulqader, one of the Holy Land Five jihadists, was convicted of providing material support to terrorists in the largest Islamic terrorism funding trial in our nation’s history.

Abdulqader worked in concert with many American Muslim leaders, including the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and its founder Nihad Awad, to fund terrorism. CAIR was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Terror funding trial as well.

Discover the Networks reports that “in addition to his work as a civil servant, for a number of years Abdulqader also performed as a singer in a band named Al Sakhra (‘The Rock’), which toured the United States from coast to coast for appearances at Hamas fundraisers. Al Sakhra’s songs were replete with lyrics urging hatred toward Jews, encouraging violent holy war, and glorifying the martyrdom of suicide bombers.”

Discover the Networks adds that Abdulqader and Mashal traveled together to Oklahoma City for Hamas:

A 1992 video places Abdulqader and Mashal together at a major Hamas fundraising conference in Oklahoma City, where Abdulqader and his fellow Al Sakhra members, all wearing traditional kaffiyeh headscarves and desert robes, sang: “I have nerves of steel, and no threats scare me. Only the one who is proud of carrying the rifle will succeed. No to the peace conference! Yes to jihad!”

“Our people in Al Aqsa are out to revenge, to destroy the enemy,” Abdulqader sang in another Al Sakhra production. “Our revolution is spread throughout the land! With Koran and Jihad, we will gain our homes back … My precious eyes are for Palestine, the agony of death is precious, killing Jews … Death to Jews, is precious. Jews will not fear threats, only action. So Hamas, hit them with the shoe bottoms of Islam and Hamas!”

Even worse, a former imam of the ISGOC is Suhaib Webb, a former gangster and now imam for the Boston bombers’ mosque. Charles Jacobs, head of Americans for Peace and Tolerance, described Imam Webb this way: “[He] teaches vicious hatred and calls for young Muslims to engage in Jihad against non-Muslims in order to establish a global Islamic state.”

FBI surveillance documents found that Imam Webb was a close associate of American-born Al Qaeda terrorist leader and jihad recruiter Anwar al-Awlaki. Awlaki was the imam to many of the 9/11 Muslim terrorists.

Terrorism expert Mitchell Gray reported in 2005 that Imam Webb has mentioned several men as having great influence on his Islamic path. Most especially Hassan Al-Banna, who founded the terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt in 1928. The Brotherhood is the father of all modern jihad terror groups. A famous associate of Al-Banna was Brotherhood theorist Sayyid Qutb, who called for the extinction of America.

Meanwhile, Robert Spencer reports this, allegedly from a former member of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma City:

I went to the same mosque the Oklahoma Muslim who beheaded his co-worker today. I live ten minutes away!

The Imam was Imad Enchassi the last I heard. He was a friend of mine. He is a Lebanese-born Sunni who hates Israel. He once gave a sermon that the Israelis were trying to collapse al-Aqsa mosque by digging tunnels underneath it. They have no issue with Palestinian suicide bombings because, as it was explained to me, that is the only weapon the Palestinians have.

They sold Milestones in the book shop while I was there, which as you know calls for replacing all non-Islamic governments with Islamic ones. I remember listening to a tape a friend of mine, Yahya Graff, another white convert to Islam, had that prayed for the destruction of Israel and America.

The imam when I first converted, Suhaib Webb, is hailed as a moderate by liberals in the United States but he was the one that explicitly told me that according to Islam, three choices are to be given to non-Muslims: convert, pay the jizyah tax and live under Islamic rule, or jihad. They try very hard to whitewash Islam when the media is around, but they believe in their religion and the ultimate goal of an Islamic caliphate.

In the wake of the Oklahoma jihad beheading, the leader of the Islamic Society of Greater Oklahoma wants security protection from the mythical “Islamophobia.” The talk is all about an imaginary backlash that never happens. This nonsense is a stealth jihad — a device to silence any criticism of jihad. Real moderates would have long ago adopted programs in the mosques to teach against and expunge the hate and calls for annihilation in the Qur’an. And while Muslims in the U.S. condemn the Islamic State, where are they teaching against the ideology that gave rise to it? Right now, nothing is being done to stop jihad recruiting in U.S. mosques, even as several hundred young Muslims from the U.S. have gone to wage jihad for the Islamic State.

This mosque is not unique. According to one recent survey, over 80% of the mosques in the U.S. teach, promote, and advance sharia law. My organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), has an 18-point platform that includes these points:

  • AFDI calls for surveillance of mosques and regular inspections of mosques in the U.S. and other non-Muslim nations to look for pro-violence materials. Any mosque advocating jihad or any aspects of Sharia that conflict with Constitutional freedoms and protections should be closed.
  • AFDI calls for immediate investigation into foreign mosque funding in the West and for new legislation making foreign funding of mosques in non-Muslim nations illegal.
  • AFDI calls for curriculum and Islam-related materials in textbooks and museums to describe the Islamic doctrine and history accurately, including its violent doctrines and 1,400-year war against unbelievers.

I believe these mosques are bases of hate and treason and must be monitored and shuttered if jihad-related activity or preaching is found to be taking place in them.

List of active separatist movements in Asia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a list of currently active separatist movements in Asia. Separatism includes autonomism and secessionism. What is and is not considered an autonomist or secessionist movement is sometimes contentious. Entries on this list must meet three criteria:

  1. They are active movements with current, active members.
  2. They are seeking greater autonomy or self-determination for a geographic region (as opposed to personal autonomy).
  3. They are the citizen/peoples of the conflict area and not comes from other country.

Under each region listed is one or more of the following:

Mainland China

Inner Mongolia

Tibet Autonomous Region

Xinjiang

Special administrative regions

Hong Kong

Taiwan area

In perspective of the laws of the Republic of China, the Taiwan independence movement is considered as secessionism, but practically, the movement seeks to replace the ROC with the Republic of Taiwan because Taiwan area is the only practical region administered by the ROC.

In perspective of the laws of the People’s Republic of China, the Taiwan indepndence movement is considered as secessionism, too because the PRC considers the Taiwan area as its integral part.
