A senior lecturer of the National Defence University, recognized as Ridhuan Tee, has offered a theological contention as the main reasons behind the tragedies of MH370 and MH17, implying that if the Malaysian airlines had adhered to Islamic behaviors and customs, the accidents never would have happened.

IB Times  In his column titled “Buka Minda” (Open your mind) written for Malaysian publication, Sinar Harian on Monday, Tee said that Malaysian airlines MH370 went missing and MH17 was shot down earlier in the year simply because Malaysians are increasingly refusing to be more ‘Islamic’.

He latched on the idea that more Islamic culture should be observed on board Malaysian flights…(Like lifting your ass to Allah several times during flight?)


“Aren’t the lessons of MH17 and MH370 not enough?” Tee asked adding that these days the in-flight crew do not bother to dress in a more Islamic manner and that they serve alcohol – something that is prohibited in Islam.

Noting that the tourists “are practically bathing in alcohol in their own countries”, the official concluded by offering an advice to Malaysian airlines in order to avoid accidents in future: “My advice: observe a more Islamic way of life before Allah unleashes his wrath on you.”

Malaysia Airlines, which is burning through tens of millions of dollars and losing spooked passengers in droves after back-to-back disasters, is set to undergo a radical restructuring to avoid liquidation and having its fleet farmed out to friendlier skies. Passenger bookings were down 11 percent last month, travelers have been snapping pics of eerily empty cabins on some flights, and the airline announced a $97 million second-quarter loss on Thursday while warning things might get worse in coming months.

Mystery Flight 370 Ends in the Indian Ocean Vile Vortex, New Orleans

As I previously noted here and in the most popular posting I’ve written for this Twilight Language blog (with over 17,000 readers as of today), “Terrorism, Aliens, Vile Vortices: The Mysteries of Missing Flight 370,” on March 9, 2014, I hinted where the focus of the search would end,

The Wharton Basin, especially its southern portions, is the key to this vile vortice.

Ships and planes have not been the subject of study here but whirling rings of lights under the Indian Ocean.

Unlike the Bermuda Triangle and Japan’s Dragon’s Triangle or Devil’s Sea, the area where Flight 370 appears to have vanished has no popular culture name.

Because of its location of several storied waves and terrible winds, locals call these seas just south of here the “Roaring Forties.” But those seas may have distracted searchers for days.

The area of interest is known in Fortean literature as the Indian Ocean’s vile vortex, labeled “Wharton Basin” on one map.

While it was plotted out to be a predicted area of vanishings by Sanderson and others, there is a clear explanation of why it was ignored.

“There would appear to be ten lozenges, or vortices, ringing our earth in two belts, one in the northern, and the other in the southern hemisphere. These are approximately, if not precisely, centered 72° apart, and those in the southern hemisphere all shifted to the East (or right) exactly the same distance to about 40°. All but two lie over water but there is no evidence for one in the southern Indian Ocean; probably because no ships or planes ever passed through or over it.”

The Flight 370 search areas have moved around until now, when the focus is in the vile vortex of the southern Indian Ocean.

One of the most popular posting I’ve written for this Twilight Language blog (with over 12,000 readers as of today) is “Terrorism, Aliens, Vile Vortices: The Mysteries of Missing Flight 370,” published on March 9, 2014. Today, I want to explore more deeply aspects of that essay.

Why “No Little Green Men”?

Speaking about his thoughts on the vanished Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, John Goglia, independent air safety consultant and a former NTSB board member, spoke freely on CNN on March 13, 2014. He said, “The only thing we know for sure is that little green men didn’t come down and take it.”

So, I must ask, how does anyone know this?

John Goglia (above) served as a member of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). With more than 30 years experience in the aviation industry, he was the first NTSB Board Member to hold an FAA aircraft mechanic’s certificate.

The mystery of Flight 370 continues to evolve. The strange Chinese satellite photo of three objects east of the location of where the transponder was turned off is now said to have been a “mistake.” New information from the USA government, has led now to the possibility of opening a new search area in the Indian Ocean for the missing Malaysia Airlines plane, White House spokesman Jay Carney said on March 13th. Many countries are partnering in the search and “following leads where we find them,” he said.
The area has continued to expand to now include the Indian Ocean.
Certainly, the cause of this disappeared flight is probably due to terrorism, bad weather, catastrophic structural failure, pilot suicide, engine failures, being shoot down, an internal bomb, a hijacking gone wrong, or something else rather terribly mundane in our modern era. Little green men, ufos, and vile vortices? How silly, right?
However, logic dictates that there is no reason to take anything off the table, from twilight dimensions to an area of known missing ships and planes. Lists of aerial disappearances are being scanned and stories like the 1937 Amelia Earhart disappearance are being dusted off, by television news programmers, to decide what ones should be highlighted. For example, on March 13, CNN News will be broadcasting a special on the History of Missing Planes at 10 PM Eastern. Clearly, this mystery has captured the public’s interest, and historically fits into a well-studied Fortean field.

The entire popularization of “triangles of vanishings,” is to be credited to Fortean writer Vincent Gaddis, who put the Bermuda triangle “on the map” in a February 1964 Argosy feature, which he said extended Florida to Bermuda, southwest to Puerto Rico and back to Florida through the Bahamas. In 1965, Gaddis’ book, Invisible Horizons, furthered his thesis with more accounts of disappearances.

One of the most popularly known Bermuda Triangle stories is of the disappearance of Flight 19, consisting of five TBM Avenger torpedo bombers that disappeared on December 5, 1945, while over the Atlantic.
Gaddis’ friend Ivan T. Sanderson was behind the scenes in the conceptualization and came up with his own theories about a worldwide grid of such locations he called “Vile Vortices.” Indeed, I appeared, in 2006, on the History’ Channel’s UFO Files’ episode “Pacific’s Bermuda Triangle,” talking of my knowledge of Sanderson’s interest in the subject.
Another Vile Vortex is called “The Devil’s Sea” or “Dragon’s Triangle” or “Ma-no Umi”
off Japan, in an area that extends as a triangle between Japan and the Islands of Bonin, including a major portion of the Philippine Sea.
One of the most celebrated stories of Dragon’s Triangle missing ships is that of USS Cyclops which disappeared in March of 1918. Few realize that the various theories as to why the Cyclops went down lead to the famed novel and resulting movie, The Poseidon Adventure (1972).Is there a Vile Vortex in the most recent direction that Flight 360 is said to have been flying?
Yes, one of Sanderon’s Vile Vortices is in the Indian Ocean, where some planes and more have vanished.

During World War II, on July 7-9, 1943, a famed Japanese aviator and explorer Kenji Tsukagoshi flying a prototype Tsukagoshi Ki-77, from Singapore to Sarabus (now Hvardiiske, Crimea) to over the Indian Ocean, was lost with a crew of 5 and 3 Imperial Japanese Army passengers.

On March 25, 1986, K2729, an Afghan Air Force cargo plane, an Antonov An-32 flight, disappeared over the Indian Ocean, 450km off Jamnagar, India. It was operated by the Indian Air Force.

Not missing, but a mystery, in 2004, a Beechcraft 200 Super King Air left Perth, Australia, on a 600 kilometre journey and eventually flew 2,840 kilometres before crashing in Queensland.
Will the mystery of Flight 360 ever be solved or join the annals of other Fortean mysteries?

Mysteries love theories. Unknown gaps in data call for speculations. We are seeing it happen this weekend.
Malaysia Airlines MH370, a Boeing 777, has gone missing. Airline officials lost contact with the plane, which was carrying 239 passengers, two hours into the Kuala Lumpur-to-Beijing flight, on Saturday, March 8, at 2:40 a.m. local time (18:40 GMT). It is thought it went missing off the coast of Vietnam, but that is pure speculation.

Who was on board? A delegation of painters and calligraphers, a group of Buddhists returning from a religious gathering in Kuala Lumpur, a three-generation family, nine senior travelers and five toddlers.Most of the 227 passengers on board missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 were Chinese, according to the airline’s flight manifest. The 12 missing crew members on the flight that disappeared early Saturday were Malaysian.Other passengers were from India, Indonesia, Australia, the United States, France, New Zealand, Ukraine, Canada, Russia and the Netherlands, the airline said.Keller, Texas native, 50-year-old Philip Wood, was on Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 when it disappeared over the Gulf of Thailand in the South China Sea. Philip Wood works as a technical storage executive at IBM Malaysia and was transferred to a job from Beijing to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, where the flight originated.

A Boeing 777 goes missing. Is someone playing a numbers twilight game?

Was it terrorism? Two people named on the manifest — an Austrian and an Italian — whose passports had been stolen were not aboard the plane. But speculation is they were just trying to immigrant, yes, illegally, from Iran. There are questions about a third, Chinese, passport, but word of that has disappeared from the media.

Freescale, Motorola, Lear, UFOs

On March 8th, the Austin, Texas-based Freescale Semiconductor confirmed that 20 employees were passengers on Flight 370. Twelve are from Malaysia and eight from China, the company said.

The history of Freescale Semiconductor is intriguing. Freescale was one of the first semiconductor companies in the world, having started as a division of Motorola in Phoenix, Arizona in 1948, according to the company’s own historical data. In 1955, a Motorola transistor for car radios was the world’s first commercial high-power transistor. It was also Motorola’s first mass-produced semiconductor device. It was in 2004, a mere decade ago, when it became autonomous by the divestiture of the Semiconductor Products Sector of Motorola.

Motorola? 1948 for this division? In Phoenix? Who came up with the name Motorola? It turns out most credit for the name is given to William “Bill” Lear, in 1930, the investor/inventor who would go on to produce such items as the 8-track music cartridge and the Lear Jet. Perhaps it is only a coincidence that the mystery of UFOs date to such events as Roswell in 1947, in nearby New Mexico.

Some folks take the notion of “Reverse-Engineering Roswell UFO Technology” very seriously. In that paper, computer company chief Jack Shulman argues that the transistor could never have been invented so suddenly at AT&T in late 1947 without input from top secret Government projects, that some have identified to him as being from alien spacecraft.

And then there is Bill Lear’s son, John, who is an accomplished pilot, former CIA operative, and Ufologist. He is noted in the latter field for promoting a variety of conspiracy theories which are based, he claims, on information obtained from military contacts.
Lear is a controversial figure in Ufology, to say the least, for many of his statements.

Lear believes that any number of flying discs ‘fell’ into our hands when they crashed in the southwest in the late 1940’s and early 50’s.
Lear’s scenario also includes the suspicion that the government has made secret deals with the ‘aliens’, actually exchanging humans for advanced technological data. Source.

Will we be hearing that aliens are behind the disappearance of Flight 370?
Ooops. I guess some sites are already writing about this form of speculation.
Missing Planes and Sanderson’s Vile Vortices

Did Flight 370 vanish off Vietnam into a Devil’s Triangle-like area, like the one found off Japan? Who knows, but this is not an area recognized in Fortean literature for such disappearances. Indeed, examining Ivan T. Sanderson’s traditional map of “Vile Vortices” around the globe does not show one in this location.

But an airliner is missing, and answers are wanting about what happened.Update March 12. It has been confirmed by military radar, and missed by civilian radar, that the plane’s transponder was turned off as 370 neared the Vietnam coast. The flight then turned around and fly over the Malay Peninsula.

Late on March 12, the Chinese authorities announced they have new images of 79″ by 72″ object in the ocean that they think is 370 debris.

‘Strange object’ not debris from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 

The mysteries surrounding the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, and the true identities of some of its passengers, are as deep as the South China Sea waters where a multinational search team is searching for the jet.
One promising lead has turned out to be a dead end. A “strange object” spotted by a Singaporean search plane late Sunday afternoon is not debris from the missing jetliner, a U.S. official familiar with the issue told CNN on Sunday.
A U.S. reconnaissance plane “thought it saw something like debris but it was a false alarm,” said the official, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

If all those on board Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 are found to have died, it will rank as the deadliest airline disaster since November 12, 2001, when American Airlines Flight 587 crashed into a New York neighborhood, killing all 260 people on board and five more on the ground. Many recall that crash with horror, as it followed so closely after the events of 9/11 in New York City.

The plane is believed to have been downed by a Buk surface-to-air missile fired from the territory controlled by pro-Russian separatists.[6][7] Immediately after the crash, a post appeared on the VKontakte social media attributed to Igor Girkin, leader of the Donbass separatists, claiming responsibility for shooting down a military aircraft,[8][9][10] but after it became clear that a civilian aircraft had been shot down, the separatists denied any involvement.Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17/MAS17)[a] was a scheduled international passenger flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpurthat was shot down on 17 July 2014,[2] killing all 283 passengers and 15 crew on board.[3][4] The Boeing 777-200ER airliner lost contact near Hrabove in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine, about 50 km (31 mi) from the Ukraine–Russia border and crashed near Torez, 40 km (25 mi) from the border.[5] The crash occurred during the Battle in Shakhtarsk Raion, part of the ongoing war in Donbass, in an area controlled by the Donbass People’s Militia. The Dutch Safety Board is now leading an investigation into the cause of the incident.

According to US intelligence sources, the plane was downed by a Buk surface-to-air missile fired from the territory controlled by pro-Russian separatists. The conclusion was based on sensors that traced the path of the missile, shrapnel patterns in the wreckage, voice print analysis of separatists’ conversations in which they claimed credit for the strike, and photos and other data from social media sites all indicated that Russian-backed separatists had fired the missile.[11] The Russian government has blamed the Ukrainian government for the shootdown.[6]

The crash of MH17 marks the fifth Boeing 777 hull loss, the third in just over a year.[12][13] With 298 deaths, MH17 is the deadliest air incident in Ukraine[14] and the deadliest airliner shootdown in history.[15] The crash was Malaysia Airlines‘ worst incident and its second of the year, after the disappearance of Flight 370 (9M-MRO) on 8 March, en route to Beijing from Kuala Lumpur.[16]


Flight 17 was operated with a Boeing 777-2H6ER,[b] serial number 28411, registration 9M-MRD.[17] The 84th Boeing 777 produced, it first flew on 17 July 1997, exactly 17 years before the incident, and was delivered new to Malaysia Airlines on 29 July 1997.[18] Powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 892 engines and carrying up to 282 passengers (35business and 247 economy), the aircraft had recorded more than 43,000 hours in 6,950 cycles before the crash.[19][20]

The Boeing 777, which entered commercial service on 7 June 1995, has one of the best safety records in commercial aircraft.[21] In June 2014 there were about 1,200 aircraft in service, with 340 more on order.[22]

At least 27 Australians have died on board a Malaysia Airlines passenger jet that was shot down by a ground-to-air missile over Ukraine, killing all 298 passengers and crew.

Flight MH17 was en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur when it came down in rebel-held territory near Ukraine’s border with Russia. US vice-president Joe Biden says it was “blown out of the sky” and that it was “not an accident”.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has told Parliament it appears that Russian-backed rebels shot the plane down.

Ukrainian wire taps appear to have captured pro-Russian separatists claiming responsibility for downing the jet, but there has been no official confirmation.

Among the passengers were delegates en route to the 20th International AIDS Conference in Melbourne, including Joep Lange, a former president of the International AIDS Society, which organized the conference.[30][31][32] Many initial reports erroneously indicated 100 delegates to the conference were aboard, but this was later revised to six.[33] Also on board were Dutch senator Willem Witteveen,[34] Australian authorLiam Davison,[35] and Malaysian actress Shuba Jay.[36]All 283 passengers and 15 crew died.[25][26][27] The crew were Malaysian and about two-thirds of the passengers were Dutch.[16][28][29] By 19 July, the airline had determined the nationalities of all 298 passengers and crew.[16] The nationalities are noted in the table.

At least twenty family groups were on board the aircraft, and eighty of the passengers were children.[37][38]


A few airlines started to avoid eastern Ukrainian airspace in early March in the wake of the 2014 Crimean crisis, including Korean Air, Asiana Airlines and British Airways.[39][40] In April, the International Civil Aviation Organization warned governments that there was a risk to commercial passenger flights over Ukraine.[41] The US Federal Aviation Administration issued restrictions on flights over Crimea, to the south of MH17’s route, and advised airlines flying over the remainder of Ukraine to “exercise extreme caution”.[41][42] Aeroflot, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, and others continued overflying eastern Ukraine until after MH17 was shot down.[43]

Since the start of the conflict, several Ukrainian Air Force aeroplanes have been downed. On 14 June, an Air Force Ilyushin Il-76 aircraft was shot down on approach to Luhansk International Airport; all 49 people on board died.[44] After that incident, on 29 June, Russian news agencies reported that insurgents had gained access to a Buk missile systemafter having taken control of a Ukrainian air defence base (possibly the former location of the 156th Anti-Aircraft Rocket Regiment [156 zrp] of the Ukrainian Air Force).[45][46][47]On the same day, the Donetsk People’s Republic claimed possession of such a system in a since-deleted tweet.[46][48]

On 14 July, a Ukrainian Air Force An-26 transport plane flying at 21,000 ft (6,400 m) was shot down.[49][50] Militia reportedly claimed via social media that a Buk missile launcher had been used to bring down the aircraft.[51] American officials later said evidence suggested the aeroplane had been shot down from Russian territory.[52] On 16 July, a Sukhoi Su-25 close air support aircraft was shot down. The Ukrainian government said the Russian military had shot down the aircraft with an air-to-air missile fired by a MiG-29 jet in Russia; a spokesman for the Russian defence ministry rejected that report as “absurd”.[53][54]

On 15 July, following his visit to Kiev, Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski warned about the dangers posed by the continued Russian military support for pro-Russian separatists, especially ground-to-air missiles.[55] On the same day, a Associated Press journalist saw a Buk launcher in Snizhne, a town in Donetsk Oblast that is 16 kilometres (10 mi) southeast of the crash site. The reporter also saw seven separatist tanks at a petrol station near the town.[56] Associated Press journalists reported that the Buk M-1 was operated by a man “with unfamiliar fatigues and a distinctive Russian accent” escorted by two civilian vehicles.[57]

The airspace above Donetsk Oblast was closed by Ukraine below 26,000 feet (7,900 m) on 1 July 2014 and, on 14 July, below 32,000 feet (9,800 m).[58][59] The route in Russian airspace that MH17 would have taken was closed below 32,000 feet (9,800 m) by Russian air control a few hours before the airliner took off.[60] As with other countries Ukraine receives overflight fees for every commercial aircraft that flies through their borders. This may have contributed to the continued availability of civilian flight paths through the conflict zone.[61][62]

According to Malaysia Airlines, MH17 filed an IFR flight plan requesting to fly at a cruising altitude of 35,000 feet (11,000 m), but was directed to 33,000 feet (10,000 m).[63] The aircraft entered Ukrainian airspace climbing through 32,000 feet (9,800 m), and climbed to 33,000 feet (10,000 m) during its transition across the Kiev flight information region.[64]

On 17 July 2014, Flight 17 departed from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Gate G03 at 12:14 CEST (10:14 UTC)[65] and was due to arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport at 06:00, 18 July MYT (22:00, 17 July UTC).[h]

Eurocontrol, which oversees the filing of all IFR flight plans in the region, stated that at the time of the incident the aircraft was in unrestricted airspace at flight level 330 (33,000 feet or 10,060 metres).[70] Malaysia Airlines stated that Ukrainian ATC had lost contact with the airliner at 13:15 UTC,14:15 GMT .[i] 30 km (19 mi) from the TAMAK waypoint at 47°51′24″N 39°13′6″E, which is on the Russian border[71][72] and that the aircraft’s emergency locator beacon was at 48°07′23″N 38°31′33″E.[73]

The last transponder transmission recorded by Flightradar24 was at 13:21 UTC and placed it at 48.0403°N 38.7728°E and 33,000 feet (10,000 m), heading 118° at 490 knots.[74][75][76] Flightradar24 also reported that a Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-200ER (Flight SQ351) and an Air India Boeing 787-8 (Flight AI113) were each about 25 km (16 mi) away from the Malaysian airliner when it disappeared.[77]

The aircraft crashed outside Hrabove, near Torez in eastern Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast.[5] The fireball on impact is believed to have been captured on video.[78] Photographs from the site of the crash show scattered pieces of broken fuselage and engine parts, bodies, and passports.[79] Some of the wreckage fell close to houses in Hrabove.[80] Dozens of bodies fell into crop fields, and some fell into houses.[81]

Shortly after the crash, Igor Girkin, leader of the Donbass separatists, was reported to have posted on social media network VKontakte, taking credit for downing a Ukrainian military aircraft. They later recanted and denied involvement after learning that a civilian airliner had been downed, saying they did not have the equipment or training to hit a target at that altitude.[82][83][84]


Immediately following the incident, Ukraine closed all routes in eastern Ukrainian airspace, at all altitudes.[70] Airlines including Aeroflot, Transaero, Air France, Turkish Airlines,Virgin Atlantic, Lufthansa, and S7 Airlines announced their intention to instruct pilots to bypass Ukrainian airspace.[85]

It was suggested that credit and debit cards may have been looted from the bodies of the victims, and the Dutch Banking Association said it would take “preventative measures” against possible fraud.[86] There were also accusations that other possessions had been removed and that evidence at the crash site had been destroyed.[87][88] Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte acknowledged on 6 August that early reports of chaos and criminality around the site may have been exaggerated.[89] One eye-witness observed that valuable items like shoes and bottles of alcohol were untouched in the wreckage.[90]

Shortly after the crash, it was announced that Malaysia Airlines would retire flight number MH17 and change the Amsterdam–Kuala Lumpur route to flight number MH19 beginning on 25 July.[91][92] On 18 July 2014, shares in Malaysia Airlines dropped by nearly 16%.[93]

On 23 July, two Ukrainian military jets were hit by missiles at the altitude of 17,000 feet (5,200 m) close to the area of the MH17 crash. According to the Ukraine Security Council, preliminary information indicated that the missiles came from Russia.[94]


On the day of the crash, a meeting was convened of the Trilateral Contact Group (consisting of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Ukrainian national government, and Russia). After they had held a video conference with representatives of insurgents affiliated with the Donetsk People’s Republic (who control the area where the aircraft crashed), the rebels promised to “provide safe access and security guarantees” to “the national investigation commission” by co-operating with Ukrainian authorities and OSCE monitors.[95] During the first two days of investigation, the militants prevented the OSCE and other international observers from freely working at the crash site. According to the Ukrainian government, the separatists were destroying all evidence of the crime “with the help of Russia”, including moving 38 bodies to Donetsk.[96] Andre Purgin, a leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic, declared later that “we will guarantee the safety of international experts on the scene as soon as Kiev concludes a ceasefire agreement”.[97]

An international investigation team is examining why the aircraft crashed. In agreement with the Ukrainian government, the Netherlands will lead the investigation.[98][99] The investigation team consists of 24 investigators with members from Ukraine, Malaysia, Australia, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom and Russia.[100] The black boxeswill be examined by an international team at a facility in the United Kingdom.[101] In addition to the international accident investigation, the selection of the flight route will also be independently investigated by the Dutch Safety Board.[102] The National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of Ukraine (NBAAI) had requested that the DSB participate in the international investigation; the DSB received formal notice of the accident from the NBAAI on 18 July.[103]

A Malaysian team of 133 officials and experts, comprising search and recovery personnel, forensics experts, technical and medical experts is in Ukraine.[104] Australia sent a 45-member panel headed by former Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, who had earlier supervised the MH 370 probe.[105] The United Kingdom sent six investigators from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and the UK Foreign Office has sent extra consular staff to Ukraine.[106] A senior US administration official reported to ABC News that FBI and NTSB officials were poised to head to Ukraine to advise the investigation.[107]

On 18 July, it was reported that the black boxes had been recovered by separatists.[108] On the same day, the head of Donetsk Regional State Administration, Kostiantyn Batozky, stated that both black boxes had been found.[109] Rebels said later that two boxes were moved to Donetsk.[110] According to a phone conversation intercepted by Ukrainian intelligence, the militants were given the task of keeping all evidence, including black boxes, away from anyone else.[111]

On 21 July, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said that he had been told by Alexander Borodai, leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic, that the black boxes would be handed over to Malaysian authorities.[112][113] Later that day, the flight data recorder and the cockpit voice recorder were handed over to Malaysian officials in Donetsk by rebels. The Malaysians reported that both recorders were “in good condition”.[114] The black boxes are currently being examined at a facility operated by the UK AAIB.[115] On 23 July it was reported that the CVR was damaged but there was no evidence that it had been tampered with; it was also reported that valid data had been downloaded.[116]

On 24 July, the Dutch Safety Board announced that they had successfully downloaded data from the flight data recorder and were proceeding to analyse the data. No evidence of manipulation of the data was found.[117]

On 30 July, it was reported by a Ukrainian representative that pro-Russian rebels had mined approaches to the crash site and pulled heavy artillery around, making further work by international experts impossible [118]

The cause of the crash has not yet been determined by the official investigation, which is being carried out by the Dutch Safety Board.[122] Both US and Ukrainian officials declared that a surface-to-air missile strike is the most likely cause,[123] and if so, then the missile was fired from a mobile Soviet-designed Buk missile system (known as SA-11 “Gadfly” to NATO) as this is the only surface-to-air missile system in the region capable of reaching the altitude of commercial air traffic.[52][124][125][126][127][128] According to defence analyst Reed Foster (from Jane’s Information Group), the contour of the aluminium and the blistering of the paint around many of the holes on the aircraft fragments indicate that small pieces of high-velocity shrapnel entered the aircraft externally, a damage pattern indicative of an SA-11.[129] Ballistics specialist Stephan Fruhling of the Australian National University‘s Strategic and Defence Studies Centre concurs with this, adding that it was probably a radar guided, rather than heat seeking, missile equipped with a proximity fuzed warhead such as a SA-11.[130]

Witnesses in Torez reported sightings on the day of the incident of what appeared to be a Buk missile launcher,[131][132] and AP journalists reported sightings of a Buk system in separatist controlled Snizhne.[57]

On 19 July, Vitaly Nayda, the chief of the Counter Intelligence Department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), told a news conference, “We have compelling evidence that this terrorist act was committed with the help of the Russian Federation. We know clearly that the crew of this system were Russian citizens.”[133][134][135] He cited what he said were recorded conversations in which separatists expressed satisfaction to Russian intelligence agents that they brought down an aeroplane.[136][137] The separatists denied that the recorded talks were related to the crash of MH17 and blamed the Ukrainian government for shooting it down.[138][139][140] According to Nayda, a Buk launcher used in the shoot-down was moved back into Russia the night after the attack.[57] The SBU released another recording, which they said was of pro-Russian-separatist leader Igor Bezler being told of an approaching aircraft two minutes before MH17 was shot down. Bezler said the recording was real, but referred to a different incident.[141]

On 22 July a soldier revealed to an Italian reporter that fellow separatists had told his unit the aircraft had been shot down under the assumption that it was Ukrainian.[142] Unnamed US intelligence officials stated that sensors that traced the path of the missile,shrapnel patterns in the wreckage, voice print analysis of separatists’ conversations in which they claimed credit for the strike, and photos and other data from social media sites all indicated that Russian-backed separatists had fired the missile.[11]

US officials said that satellite data from infrared sensors detected the explosion of flight MH17.[143] American intelligence agencies said that analysis of the launch plume and trajectory suggested the missile was fired from an area between Torez and Snizhne.[52] Satellites are also likely to have registered the heat signature of the launch of the missile and the activation of the missile launcher tracking radar.[125] The Telegraph, a British paper, said: “The Telegraph‘s own inquiries suggest the missile – an SA-11 from a Buk mobile rocket launcher – was possibly fired from a cornfield about 12 miles to the south of the epicentre of the crash site.”[126] A number of other media outlets including The Guardian, The Washington Post and the Sydney Morning Herald have reported that it is believed to have downed by a rebel-fired missile.[6][7][144]

An unnamed US intelligence official stated that Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 may have been shot down in error by pro-Russian separatists, citing evidence that separatists launched a SA-11 surface-to-air missile that blew up the Malaysian airliner. The official dismissed Russian allegations that MH17 took evasive action and said the claim that the Ukrainian government had shot down MH17 was not realistic, as Kiev had no such missile systems in that area, which was rebel-controlled.[127] US intelligence officials also said that Russia was attempting to disguise the flow of weaponry it was delivering to the rebels by sending older weapons that matched Ukraine’s inventory.[11] The British Foreign Office stated that it was “highly likely” that the missile was fired from area controlled by Russian-backed separatists.[145]

Journalists from the Associated Press in Snizhne, Ukraine reported seeing a Buk M-1 enter the town operated by a man “with unfamiliar fatigues and a distinctive Russian accent” escorted by two civilian vehicles, which then moved off in the direction where the shootdown later occurred. According to Ukrainian counterterrorism chief, Vitaly Nayda, after downing the plane under separatist direction, the launcher’s Russian crew quickly moved it back across the border into Russia.[57]

In an interview with Reuters on 23 July 2014, Alexander Khodakovsky, the commander of the pro-Russian Vostok Battalion, acknowledged that the separatists had an anti-aircraft missile of the type the US has said was used to shoot down the aircraft, and admitted that it could have been sent back to Russia to remove proof of its presence;[146][147][148] he later retracted his comments, saying that he had been misquoted and stating that rebels never had a Buk.[149]

On 28 July, Ukrainian security official Andriy Lysenko announced, at a press conference, that black box recorder analysis had revealed that the aircraft had been brought down by shrapnel that caused “massive explosive decompression.” Dutch officials were reported to be “stunned” by what they saw as a “premature announcement” and said that they had not provided this information.[150]

On 21 July, the Russian Defence Ministry held a press conference and said that just before the crash, a Ukrainian Su-25 ground-attack aircraft approached to within 3 to 5 kilometres (1.9 to 3.1 mi) of the Malaysian airliner. The Ministry also stated that satellite photographs showed that the Ukrainian army moved a Buk SAM battery to the area close to the territory controlled by the rebels on the morning of 17 July, hours before the crash. They said the installation was then moved away again by 18 July.[151][152]

The Russian Ministry of Defense has maintained that US claims of separatist responsibility were “unfounded”.[153]

Recovery of bodies

A Ukraine Foreign Ministry representative said that the bodies found at the crash site would be taken to Kharkiv for identification, a city 270 kilometres (170 mi) to the north. By the day after the crash, 181 of the 298 bodies had been found.[154]

On 19 July, Andriy Lysenko, the spokesman of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, said that the insurgents removed 38 bodies from the crash site to extract parts of the missile used to shoot down the aircraft, and destroy the evidence.[155]

Al Jazeera reported that the separatist Minister of Health had initially confirmed 38 bodies had been moved to the Donetsk mortuary, which the minister subsequently recanted.[156] Bodies were observed being moved, placed in body bags, and loaded on to lorries.[157][158][159]

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte complained about the lack of respect shown to the personal belongings of the dead which were reportedly looted. He initially announced his disgust about the handling of the bodies of the casualties that were reportedly being “dragged around” and “thrown”, but later stated the bodies were handled with more care than originally estimated.[160][161] On 20 July, Ukrainian emergency workers, observed by armed separatists, began loading the remains of the passengers of MH17 into refrigerated railway wagons for transport and identification.[162]

On 21 July, pro-Russian rebels allowed Dutch investigators to examine the bodies. By this time, 272 bodies had been recovered.[163]Remains left Torez on a train on the evening of 21 July, en route to Kharkiv to be flown to the Netherlands for identification.[112][164] On the same day, Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced that the Malaysian government had reached a tentative agreement to retrieve the remains of the Malaysians who died in the crash, following any necessary forensic work.[113][165]

It was reported on 21 July that with 282 bodies and 87 body fragments found, there were still 16 bodies missing.[166] An agreement has been reached that the Netherlands will co-ordinate the identification effort. All remains will be moved to the Netherlands with Dutch air force C-130 and Australian C-17 transport planes.[167][168] A train carrying the bodies arrived at the Malyshev Factory, Kharkiv on 22 July,[169] and the first remains were flown to Eindhoven on 23 July.[170] The investigation will be conducted at the Netherlands Army medical regiment training facility in Hilversumby an international team.[171] The UK Metropolitan Police is liaising with international partners to send specialist officers to assist with the recovery, identification and repatriation of those who died.[106]

Dutch authorities stated on 23 July that they found 200 bodies on the train when it arrived at Kharkhiv, leaving almost 100 unaccounted for.[172] Two Dutch and one Australian aircraft flew the first bodies out of Kharviv later that day. The aircraft landed at Eindhoven Airport just before 16:00 local time.[173] The day afterwards another 74 bodies arrived.[174]

On 1 August it was announced that a search and recovery mission, including about 80 forensic police specialists from the Netherlands, Malaysia and Australia, and led by Colonel Cornelis Kuijs of the Royal Marechaussee, would use drones, sniffer dogs, divers and satellite mapping to search for missing body parts at the crash site.[175][176] Australian officials had believed that as many as 80 bodies were still at the site,[177] but after some days of searching the international team had “found remains of only a few victims” and concluded that “the recovery effort undertaken by local authorities immediately after the crash was more thorough than initially thought.”[89]

On 6 August the Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte announced that the recovery operation would be temporarily halted due to an upsurge in fighting around the crash site threatening the safety of crash investigators and recovery specialists, all international investigators and humanitarian forces (of approx 500 Australians and 80 Dutch/Malaysians) will leave the country leaving behind a small communications and laison team.[178] Three areas of the crash site remained unsearched. The Ukranian government announced it would dissolve the temporary truce in the local area until the investigators returned.

As of 9 August, 65 victims have been identified by the Dutch-led forensic team.[179]


Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko called the crash the result of an act of terrorism, and also called for an international investigation into the crash.[180]

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said in an address to parliament that the aircraft was downed by a missile which seems to have been launched by Russian-backed rebels.[181] Julie Bishop, the Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, said in an interview on an Australian television programme that it was “extraordinary” that her Russian counterparts have refused to speak to her over the shoot-down after the Russian ambassador was summoned to meet her.[181] The Russian government was critical of Abbott’s response; Abbott was one of the first world leaders to publicly connect the shoot-down to Russia.[182] Abbott later criticized the recovery efforts as “shambolic”, and “more like a garden clean-up than a forensic investigation”; Bishop publicly warned separatist forces against treating the victims’ bodies as hostages.[183]

Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Hamzah Zainuddin said that the foreign ministry would be working with the Russian and Ukrainian governments with regard to the incident.[184]Prime Minister Najib Razak later said that Malaysia was unable to verify the cause of the crash and demanded that the perpetrators be punished.[185] The Malaysian governmentflew the national flag at half-mast from 18 July until 21 July.[186]

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and King Willem-Alexander voiced their shock at the crash,[187][188] and Minister of Foreign Affairs Frans Timmermans joined the Dutch investigation team sent to Ukraine.[189] Dutch government buildings flew the flag at half-mast on 18 July.[190] Music was cancelled and festivities were toned down on the last day of the Nijmegen Marches.[191] On 21 July the Netherlands opened a war crimes investigation on the downing of the aircraft. The country’s prosecutor is in Ukraine for that purpose. Rutte threatened tough action against Russia if it did not help in the investigation.[192]

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukraine bears responsibility for the incident which happened in its territory, which he said would not have happened if hostilities had not resumed in the south-east of Ukraine.[5][193][194] He also said that it was important to refrain from making any hasty conclusions and politicized statements before the end of the investigation. He said that Russia would help an international inquiry led by the ICAO.[195] By end of July a Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev said in an interview for German Die Welt that there’s no doubts that it the was separatists who shot down the plane by mistake and “Putin now understood that he has passed the weapon to wrong people”.[196]

United States President Barack Obama said the US would help determine the cause.[5] In a press statement, White House spokesman Josh Earnest called for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine to allow for a full investigation.[197] Vice-President Joe Biden said the plane appeared to have been deliberately shot down, and offered US assistance for the investigation into the crash.[194] US Ambassador to the United NationsSamantha Power called on Russia to end the war.[198] The British government requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council and called an emergency Cobra meeting after the incident.[199][200] Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin E. Dempsey has said that instead of backing away from supporting the rebels in the wake of the airline tragedy, Putin had “actually taken a decision to escalate.”[201]

Commander of the Donbass People’s Militia Igor Girkin was quoted as stating that “a significant number of the bodies weren’t fresh”. He followed up by saying “Ukrainian authorities are capable of any baseness”; and also said that blood serum and medications were found in the plane’s remnants in large quantities.[202][203]

The European Union’s representatives José Manuel Barroso and Herman Van Rompuy released a joint statement calling for immediate and thorough investigation.[204] The EU officials also said that Ukraine has first claim on the plane’s black boxes.[205]

The International Civil Aviation Organization declared that it was sending its team of experts to assist the National Bureau of Air Accidents Investigation of Ukraine (NBAAI), under Article 26 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation.[206] The United Nations Security Council adopted Resolution 2166 on 21 July, regarding an official crime investigation into the incident.

Since the crash, memorial services have been held in Australia[207] and in the Netherlands, which declared 23 July, the day when the first victims arrived in the country, a national day of mourning, the first since 1962.[208][209] The opening ceremony of the AIDS 2014 conference, of which several delegates were on board flight MH17, began with a tribute to the victims of the crash.[210] In Malaysia, makeshift memorials were created in the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.[211]

Russian media coverage

Media coverage of the crash in Russia has differed from coverage by other worldwide media.[212] Right after the incident, Russian media announced that a Ukrainian An-26 plane was downed by the rebels, however no other wreckage than that of the MH17 has ever been reported to have crashed in the rebel-controlled territory on that date. On 22 July an unnamed US official said that the Russian government was manipulating the media towards Russia’s version of the story.[11]

The Russian government-funded[213] outlet RT initially said that the plane was shot down by Ukraine in a failed attempt to assassinate Vladimir Putin, in a plot which was organized by Ukraine’s “Western backers”.[214] Other theories propagated by Russian media include: that the Ukrainians shot down the plane in a botched attempt at mass murder of Russian citizens; that Ukrainian air traffic controllers purposefully redirected the flight to fly over the war zone; and that the Ukrainian government organized the attack on the plane to bring infamy upon the pro-Russian rebels.[215] According to the poll conducted by the Levada Center between 18 and 24 July, 80% of Russians surveyed believed that the crash of MH17 was caused by the Ukrainian military. Only 3% of respondents to the poll blamed the disaster on pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.[216][217][218]

Sara Firth, a correspondent with RT, for which she had worked over the previous five years, resigned in protest at the channel’s coverage which she described as “shockingly obvious misinformation”.[219] RT issued a statement after Firth went public with reasons for her resignation, saying “we were not surprised by Sara Firth’s decision to leave RT after five years as a Moscow and London correspondent, as she has recently informed us that she was likely to take an offer from another firm”.[220]

On 25 July, the liberal Russian opposition newspaper Novaya Gazeta published a bold headline in Dutch that read “Vergeef ons, Nederland” (“Forgive Us, Netherlands”).[221][222]

What are the hidden meanings in today’s breaking news?

On July 17, 2014, around 10:00 am EDT, Malaysia Airlines Flight Number 17, a Boeing 777 passenger plane from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in eastern Ukraine.

This plane used for MH17 had its first flight 17 years ago on July 17, 1997, and now is apparently shot down on July 17, 2014. Source.

“Malaysia Airlines has lost contact of MH17 from Amsterdam,” the Malaysia Airlines tweeted. “The last known position was over Ukrainian airspace.”

An adviser to the Ukraine Interior Minister says separatists shot down the passenger plane with a Russian-made Buk ground-to-air missile system. The separaists in Donetsk admit to using these systems.

There were reportedly 295 people on board (280 passengers and 15 crew) when it crashed in Torez, which is about 25 miles from the Russian border.

There were 23 Americans on the flight, and were no survivors. It appears the plane was filled with tourists on their way to vacation in Bali and other Asian areas. The number 23 seems symbolic.

Synchromysticism haunts the event of MH17.

As the Red Dirt Report’s Andrew W. Griffin’s commentary reminded me, today is the exact anniversary – 18 years ago – to the day – that TWA 800 was blown out of the sky. Also, brought to mind is the fate of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 being shot down by a Soviet jet on September 1, 1983.

Other situations like this have happened before:

April 20, 1978: Korean Airlines Flight 902, which diverted from its planned course on a flight from Paris to Seoul and strayed over the Soviet Union.
After being fired upon by an interceptor aircraft, the crew made a forced landing at night on the surface of a frozen lake. Two of the 97 passengers were killed by the hostile fire.
September 1, 1983: Korean Air Lines Flight 007 shot down by at least one Soviet air-to-air missile after the 747 had strayed into Soviet airspace. All 240 passengers and 29 crew were killed.
July 3, 1988: Iran Air Flight 655 Aircraft was shot down by a surface to air missile from the American naval vessel U.S.S. Vincennes. All 16 crew and 274 passengers were killed.

In Russian history, let us recall these moments:

On July 17, 1762, Catherine II becomes the Tsar of Russia upon the murder of Peter III of Russia.

On July 17, 1918, Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his immediate family and retainers are murdered by Bolshevik Chekists at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Malaysian Airlines MH17 Was Ordered to Fly over the East Ukraine Warzone

Malaysian Airlines Confirms that it was Instructed to Fly MH17 at Lower Altitude over East Ukraine

On the matter of MH17’s flight path, Malaysian Airlines confirms that the pilot was instructed to fly at a lower altitude by the Kiev air traffic control tower upon its entry into Ukraine airspace.

 ”MH17 filed a flight plan requesting to fly at 35,000ft throughout Ukrainian airspace. This is close to the ‘optimum’ altitude.

However, an aircraft’s altitude in flight is determined by air traffic control on the ground. Upon entering Ukrainian airspace, MH17 was instructed by Ukrainian air traffic control to fly at 33,000ft.”

33,000 feet is 1000 feet above the restricted flight altitude (see image below). The request of the Ukrainian air traffic control authorities was implemented.

Deviation from the “Normal” Approved Flight Path

With regard to the MH17 flight path, Malaysian airlines confirms that it followed the rules set by Eurocontrol and the International Civil Aviation Authority  (ICAO) (emphasis added):

I would like to refer to recent reported comments by officials from Eurocontrol, the body which approves European flight paths under ICAO rules.According to the Wall Street Journal, the officials stated that some 400 commercial flights, including 150 international flights crossed eastern Ukraine daily before the crash. Officials from Eurocontrol also stated that in the two days before the incident, 75 different airlines flew the same route as MH17.MH17’s flight path was a busy major airway, like a highway in the sky. It followed a route which was set out by the international aviation authorities, approved by Eurocontrol, and used by hundreds of other aircraft.

It flew at an altitude set, and deemed safe, by the local air traffic control. And it never strayed into restricted airspace. [this MAS statement is refuted by recent evidence]

The flight and its operators followed the rules. But on the ground, the rules of war were broken. In an unacceptable act of aggression, it appears that MH17 was shot down; its passengers and crew killed by a missile.

The route over Ukrainian airspace where the incident occurred is commonly used for Europe to Asia flights. A flight from a different carrier was on the same route at the time of the MH17 incident, as were a number of other flights from other carriers in the days and weeks before. Eurocontrol maintains records of all flights across European airspace, including those across Ukraine.

What this statement confirms is that the MH17 ‘s “usual flight path” was similar to the flight paths of some 150 international flights which cross Eastern Ukraine on a daily basis. According to Malaysian Airlines “The usual flight route [across the sea of Azov] was earlier declared safe by the International Civil Aviation Organisation. The International Air Transportation Association has stated that the airspace the aircraft was traversing was not subject to restrictions.”

That approved flight path is indicated in the maps below.

The regular flight path of MH17 (and other international flights) over a period of ten days prior to July 17th ( day of the disaster), crossing Eastern Ukraine in a Southeasterly direction is across the Sea of Azov. (see map below)

The flight path on July 17th was changed.

The flight and its operators followed the rules. But on the ground, the rules of war were broken. In an unacceptable act of aggression, it appears that MH17 was shot down; its passengers and crew killed by a missile. (MAS, ibid)

While the audio records of the MH17 flight have been confiscated by the Kiev government, the order to change the flight path did not come from Eurocontrol.

Did this order to change the flight path come from the Ukrainian authorities? Was the pilot instructed to change course?

British Media Fabrications: “Lets Conjure Up a Storm”

British news reports acknowledge that there was a change in the flight path, claiming without evidence that it was to “avoid thunderstorms in southern Ukraine”.

MAS operations director Captain Izham Ismail has also refuted claims that heavy weather led to MH17 changing its flight plan.“There were no reports from the pilot to suggest that this was the case,” Izham said. (News Malaysia   July 20, 2014)

What is significant, however, is that the Western media acknowledged that the change in the flight path did occur, and the that “heavy weather” narrative is a fabrication.

Ukraine Fighter Jets in a Corridor Reserved for Commercial Aircraft

It is worth noting that a Ukrainian SU-25 fighter jet equipped with air-to-air R-60 missiles was detected within 5-10 km of the Malaysian aircraft, within an air corridor reserved for commercial aircraft.

What was the purpose of this air force deployment? Was the Ukraine fighter jet “escorting” the Malaysian aircraft in a Northerly direction towards the war zone?

The change in the flight path for Malaysian airlines MH17 on July 17 is clearly indicated in the map below. It takes MH17 over the war zone, namely Donetsk and Lugansk.

Malaysian Airlines MH17 plane was travelling almost the same route as Russia’s President Vladimir Putin’s jet shortly before the crash that killed 295, Interfax news agency reports citing sources.

“I can say that Putin’s plane and the Malaysian Boeing intersected at the same point and the same echelon. That was close to Warsaw on 330-m echelon at the height of 10,100 meters. The presidential jet was there at 16:21 Moscow time and the Malaysian aircraft – 15:44 Moscow time,” a source told the news agency on condition of anonymity.

“The contours of the aircrafts are similar, linear dimensions are also very similar, as for the coloring, at a quite remote distance they are almost identical”, the source added.

At the same time, there have been reports contradicting Intefax’s report that was the first and the only media source to publish the news, saying that Presidential plane was not flying over Ukraine at the same time.

As a source told online news portal, Putin’s plane does take off from Vnukovo-3 [the terminal that accepts business jets], but the president does not fly over the conflict-gripped neighboring country.

“Putin has only one jet – Board One, he does not fly other planes. This plane always takes off from Vnukovo-3, but the presidential plane have not been flying over Ukraine for a while,” the source at Vnukovo-3 terminal said.

President Putin was on his way from Brazil, where he attended the BRICS summit, to Moscow.

Flight MH17 crashed in Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpar, and was carrying 295 people.

The passenger Boeing-777 was expected to enter Russian airspace at 5:20pm local time, but never did, a Russian aviation industry source was cited by Reuters.

“The plane crashed 60km away from the border, the plane had an emergency beacon,” ITAR-TASS cited its source.

Synchromystic Symposium: The Meaning of Tridents

TRIDENT: Called “the devil’s pitchfork,” it has symbolized major gods in various pagan cultures. In India, it is linked to the Hindu “trident-bearer” Shiva, spouse of the skull-bearing goddess Kali.  More recently, this three-sponged spear has been used by Hindu militants in India to intimidate Christians.

They are everywhere during these Trident Times.
What do the presence, overtly and covertly, of all the tridents of late symbolize?

I ask a few of the deeper synchromystic thinkers a simple, but complex question, “What do you sense is the symbolic, metaphoric or actual meaning of the appearance of tridents in a wide variety of recent disasters, incidents, and news items in the last few months?”

Their answers follow, after a video interlude.

First, I begin with this clip from The Da Vinci Code, as it demonstrates an artifact of the many different points of view that you will find in the statements below.

Each person presents – via their own personal insights and biases – their answer to my query. None are wrong. They merely are sharing their varied views for approaching this mystery.

I sincerely appreciate all the different reasoned thoughts people have sent in regarding my inquiry. It is a great body of work to ponder, running to several thousands of words. Your comments are welcome, if you wish to join this symposium’s conversation.

Ever since I wrote Atlantis Rising (1973), to me the trident has been a symbol that an old world is dying and a new world is about to be born. Although I hope the signs are to be realized in more positive eventualities, the recent appearance of the trident in various violent incidents, especially the two Malaysian airline crashes, seem to predict the strong possibility of World War III.

It is a subject of debate whether the expectation of an Apocalypse (“Zombie aocalypse,” a total breakdown of all controls) is simply a prelude to a type of evil world order, or a golden age. Right now the Group Mind expects the worst.

For me, Carl Jung wrote the book on it…Synchronicity is exactly what it implies. The Trident is merely the symbol of Neptune/Poseidon, who is an archetype we attach broader attributes to. I don’t think ALL of these events, tragic or mundane, are equally related. However, I do believe they are meant to draw our attention to the bigger picture. Mythology lives and breathes for many of us, where the monotheistic religions that exist today seem to offer nothing but war, power struggles and greed. Perhaps the OLD Gods are sick of it all.

The trident, in many ways, pervades our myth and culture. While to the trinitarians of Christian mythos it might have represented the father God, his embodied son, and equally disembodied spirit, the Hindus would have (and very much did) recognize the trident within the literal context of the preservation, creation, and of course, destruction elements of our world, as appended to the god Shiva (Neptune similarly embodied this destructive element with the trident’s use in creating tremors). That gods in trans-cultural elements move in threes, and with separate elements of their forces in such a way, underscores the “holy” number that three represents in an almost universal way; accidents come in threes, and in modern synchro-mysticism, the rounded number three (or 33’s and 333’s in proportional superstitious importance) have come to represent luck, fortune, and significance. That Poseidon and Neptune would wield the trident, or that Hanuman or Shiva of the ancient Hindus carried the weapon that could both represent goodness and fortune, as well as utter destruction, suggests that the trident strays from the typical “black and white” dichotomy adopted largely in the west. The three pronged spear instead suggests that within all points, there is a center between the extremities, emerging as a more balanced form than the meaning implied by simple binary (two point) systems can offer.

I would say that the theme of tridents is heavily intertwined with another major theme,horses. 2014 is the Chinese Year of the Wood Horse and the trident is traditionally associated with Neptune-Poseidon who is the god of horses (as well as earthquakes, water, etc.).

Another related key theme is Atlantis which was stressed particularly during the World Cup June-July. It’s a subset of a stealthily ubiquitous theme “Gates of Hell opening“…


The connection is based on the fact that: 1) Atlantis is said to have sunk to the bottom of the ocean which is essentially the Underworld (Hell), and 2) Neptune-Poseidon is the god of the sea and said to be the ultimate owner of Atlantis.

Unbeknownst to most, the Atlantis-Neptune connection was highlighted duringNeptunalia or the festival of Neptune on July 23-24 when airplanes were dropping like flies…

To quickly explain, airplanes are symbolically “Atlantean” in that: 1) an “airplane” implies the “air plane” or realm of air, i.e. the atmosphere, 2) the atmosphere is the realm of Atlas as his iconic depiction is that of him holding up the heavens on his shoulders, essentially becoming a pillar uniting or separating heaven and earth, like the atmosphere between the earth and the sky, 3) Atlas is closely associated with Atlantis(e.g. the first king of Atlantis is Atlas). Airplane = air realm = atmosphere = Atlas = Atlantis.


Airplane crashes in particular allude more specifically to the destruction of Atlantis, i.e. what the legendary lost island/continent is best known for. The World Cup back in July prefigured this symbolism by stressing the cataclysm aspect of Atlantis (via Brazil-Hy Brasil identification).

It was of course through the epic “Great Flood” that Atlantis in effect entered theUnderworld/Hell. In other words, when the “Gates of Hell opened”.
And that, I’d say, is at the core of what the trident motif alludes to… The opening of the Gates of Hell.
The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, the biggest airplane event of the year (if not ever), fits perfectly into the discussion, starting with the fact that (already noted by many) the Malaysia Airlines logo is a stylized trident.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I can add for example that, like Atlantis: 1) the whereabouts of MH370, presumed crashed, is a big mystery, and 2) MH370 disappeared into the Underworld. The latter was expressed metaphorically through plane’s originally planned “flight path” (the great circle connecting the flight’s origin and destination) pinpointing New Orleans:

As you may recall it was in New Orleans that the 2013 Super Bowl was played less than 2 months after the “end” of the Mayan calendar (12/21/2012). There was a power outage (darkness) that interrupted the game precisely when the Galactic Center in the Dark Rift of the Milky Way was directly below the stadium/city.

It made perfect sense symbolically because the “end” of the Mayan calendar is popularly associated with the so-called “Galactic Alignment” when the Sun aligns with the galactic equator near the Galactic Center in the Dark Rift.

For the Maya, the Dark Rift was a portal to their underworld Xibabla (“place of fear”), i.e. their “Gates of Hell“! Appropriately it was right below New Orleans that the galactic underworld/hell was positioned which is where it should be by definition.
It’s also important to point out that there is a horse right next to the Galactic Center in the form of the Dark Horse Nebula, overlapping right “big foot” of Ophiuchus.

Dark Horse” became a hot topic earlier this year for sync heads and conspiracy theorists thanks to Katy Perry‘s song/video/performance. They could just sense something was up. What they didn’t realize was that it had a lot to do with this obscure nebula, without which decoding would be quite limited. (See Dark Horse at Hellgate for more.)

To illustrate the dark influence of this Dark Horse in the sky, I can point to the fact that one of the darkest (“Satanic”) events in recent years is the Sandy Hook elementary school massacre, shocking the world on December 14, 2012 just a week before the “end” of the Mayan calendar (12/21/2012). It happened right when the Sun was at theDark Horse Nebula (the Sun is there every year on ~ December 13-14).

We follow patterns. And “pattern” implies “predictability”. So it’s only natural that as we move closer to the core of the matter, we begin to be able to tell beforehand when something big/important is about to take place and its essential themes as I did with Sandy Hook back then. There is right now a set of intertwined patterns involving Dark Horse that will likely produce a very intense situation in October (as well as later this month/August), and it will be part of the same general pattern complex being discussed.
So what’s the meaning of tridents in 2014? It’s one of the visible “arrows” pointing to a big “Mayan” (and “Trojan”) thing that’s happening, which is in essence… the “opening of the Gates of Hell“.

I’ve had my eye on the Fayette factor almost everyday. The fact about Robin Williams supposedly killing himself a day after a fatal incident involving LaFayette: Now there are three major and one minor news stories in just the last month that were preceded each time a day in advance with clear forewarnings in the form of the Fayette factor, the minor being the murder suicide involving the man who killed his wife and three daughters a week or so ago.
The three majors would be the Fedex family massacre, the MH17 “Operation Trident” media BS campaign, and now Robin Williams found hanging, which isn’t exactly a clear indicator of suicide, yet the narrative has been carefully written and released, as if he couldn’t escape the ending to this, his most personal role, a role written and managed as well as any of his films (ex: Robin Williams suicide jokes on Family Guy airing hours before he’s discovered dead ALA Boston Marathon bomb jokes).
Here we find a more clever game of lesser magic, a sort of code. Violent murders and crashes happen everyday all over the US but our national newsfeeds just happen to place an emphasis on Lafayette or Fayetteville consciously or unconsciously the day before a major event to caution us that we are in for a strange news day the next day.

This, of course, is just cosmic coincidence, perfectly placed and arranged for us to discover and light up to. This is a literal way to see it, but if we go deeper and realize the influence of higher consciousness on our reality and behaviors, we are faced with this: We can only see parts of the whole. We are so many steps, degrees, and functions removed from what is really driving this planet’s course, and yet were part of the same equation and pattern. We only have to say to ourselves: Here it is, honestly, the truth is that the trident represents so much more than we can understand, but if we break it down to how it’s used by those in power: For those in the know, this is now a World Wide War, the 3rd of its kind. The trident is just this, a permeating symbol that is crying out to us to open our eyes and see what is really there.

Or maybe its just clever wizardry to subconsciously create acceptance of this idea that the world as we know it is lost to war and destruction.

The Khazar trident is quite similar to the Ukrainian trident.

Israelis are now adopting the fact that they are the descendents of the Khazars, who ruled about a million square miles of what is now the Ukraine for a thousand years before being conquered by the Slavic tribe that is now modern Russia….The trident and bident were used on coin to show the ruling issuer of “currency.” It would seem the tridents we see so heavily used now is a stamp to indicate the “currency” is controlled by the Ashkenazi descendents of Chazairia, and also why it is the symbol of the Ukraine. I am myself a Ashkenazi.

I honestly don’t have the foggiest idea what the meaning behind it is, but I’d venture to guess that it has nothing to do with the sea or anything oceanic. I confess to not having looked at it that much, but I get the feeling that the ‘tri’ part of it all is the real key and that maybe three major events will occur within quick succession or some overarching ‘storyline’ of three events is unfolding unbeknownst to us just yet. (i.e. avoid Malaysian Airlines).
It seems like it never works this way, but one would hope that a place, person, or company bearing some distinct form of the “Trident” name will eventually, ultimately make news (in a non-violent way, let’s pray) which will be the crest of the wave. Barring that, since I’m skeptical for such good fortune, it will be interesting to look back at all of these tridents and see if anything can be discerned once we feel like it has run its course.

That said, if a Malaysian Airlines jet mysteriously lands in Trident, Montana, please let me know where to accept my Twilight Language Nobel Prize for dumb luck.

The Tridentine Latin Mass was promulgated in the 16th century by Pope Pius V, the lead organizer of the defense of southern Europe against an invading Muslim fleet which was decisively defeated at the Battle of Lepanto.
The universal (catholic) Latin Tridentine Mass was derogated by Pope Paul VI in 1969, and replaced by a “New Mass” (Novus Ordo Missae) to be offered in the vernacular of the particular Catholic country where it is celebrated. This Novus Ordo Missae was the product of a liturgical committee headed by an alleged Freemason, Archbishop Annibale Bugnini. Due to the controversy surrounding him the Vatican exiled him to Iran where he was papal nuncio during the Iranian revolution.
In reaction to the suppression of the Tridentine Mass, French Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre defied the popes and led a rebel movement which continues to offer it.
The right to celebrate the Tridentine Mass licitly and officially was restored by the Emeritus Pope, Benedict XVI, who, in his Regensburg lecture, condemned jihadist Islam’s ideological roots.
The so-called “Black Mass” is based on a reversal of key elements of the Tridentine Mass, although there are Catholic occultists in the Ficino/Pico and Eliphas Levi lineage who attend the Tridentine Mass today in its orthodox form.

If there’s a third incident, could it lead to the downfall of another government? Will this one be linked to terrorism, and used to bolster American Security Theater? I am surprised at some of the places “trident’ comes up. The whole “present system of Roman Catholic doctrine and practice dates from the Council of Trent (1545)” is called “Tridentine” after the city of Trent, the ancient name of which was Tridentum.

“Trent” or “Trento” has an interesting history. According to the Wikipedia article the name “Tridentum” evolved from a pre-Roman Celtic water god and a topographical feature (though other sources disagree).

“Trento was conquered by the Romans in the late 1st century BC, after several clashes with the Rhaetian tribes. Before the Romans, Trent was a Celtic village. In reality, the name derives from Trent, which is a tribute to the Celtic god of the waters (because of the river Adige). The Romans gave their settlement the name Tridentum and is a tribute to the Roman god Neptune (Tri Dentum, meaning ‘Three Teeth’ because of the three hills that surround the city: the Doss Trent, Sant’Agata and San Rocco). The Latin name is the source of the adjective Tridentine. On the old townhall a Latin inscription is still visible: Montes argentum mihi dant nomenque Tridentum (“Mountains give me silver and the name of Trento”), attributed to Fra’ Bartolomeo da Trento (died in 1251). Tridentum became an important stop on the Roman road that led from Verona to Innsbruck.”

It was also the scene of the notorious “blood libel” involving Simon of Trent and a dam collapsed, in 1985 killing 268 people.

BTW, it’s not easy to see, but there is a trident on the poster of the Poseidon Adventure that is almost invisible.

Now that it’s in my head I’ll be finding tridents for months.

The symbol of the trident is found in the most uncanniest places. There is that old, black and white photo of Eugen Grosche, founder of the German magical orderFraternitas Saturni in the 1920s. He is featured in full regalia, with a headband to which is fastened a trident.

When Italian writer, poet, journalist and proto-fascist Gabriele d’Annunzio retired to the small town of Cargnacco in the 1930s, he developed his own variation of the symbol. It is still to be found at the villa he purchased.

This symbol he handed over to Italian gun manufacturer Beretta, and the company has used it ever since, according to their website, claiming it’s not an actual trident although it certainly resembles one.

Between 1974 and 1985 the city of Florence was in the grip of a mysterious serial killer dubbed “the Monster of Florence.” He always struck during moonless nights and the extended period of time notwithstanding, he was never caught. One school of thought points towards occult, ritualistic, even satanic, underpinnings although this has never been proven.

The gun used by The Monster Of Florence, in all the killings, was a Beretta.

On the trident:
There are fire and serpent ties, which both suggest the Devil. One can think of the devil using the (supposedly) ancient esoteric maxim: “daemon est deus inversus,” that is, the “demon [or devil] is god inverted.” (Helena Blavatsky, The Secret Doctrine, vol. 1, p. 411.)
Following this train of thought, it is possible to think the trident itself is a sort of trinitarian “shadow-side” symbol. Lucifer, who is commonly identified with the Devil or Satan, ostensibly proclaims in Isaiah 14:14: “I will make myself like the Most High.”
In Greco-Roman mythology, of course, the chief Olympian deities are the three brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. The world has also traditionally been conceived in terms of three layers or spheres. “The world was divided among the three brothers, Zeus having the heavens, Poseidon the sea, and Aidoneus the underworld.” (Richard Payne Knight, The Symbolical Language of Ancient Art and Mythologie: An Inquiry, New York: J.W. Bouton, 1892, p. 446.)
“We are three brothers born by Rheia to Kronos, Zeus, and I [Poseidon], and the third is Aides [Haides] lord of the dead men. All was divided among us three ways, each given his domain. I [Poseidon] when the lots were shaken drew the grey sea to live in forever; Aides drew the lot of the mists and the darkness, and Zeus was allotted the wide sky, in the cloud and the bright air. But earth and high Olympos are common to all three.” (Homer, Iliad, Lattimore, trans., 15. 187ff.)
Some of the 16th-century occultists, like Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa, articulated three sorts of magic, corresponding with three “worlds.”

Relatedly, the three prongs of the trident might also symbolize the alchemical combination of air, water, and fire; or, alternatively, the combination of the three “essentials” of Salt, Sulfur, and Mercury. This is speculation, based partially upon the fact that the trident symbolizes lightning (air-fire) but is also associated with water deities.
In alchemy, “[t]he Three Essentials originated from the First Matter [prima materia] at the beginning of creation.” (Dennis William Hauck, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Alchemy, New York: Penguin, 2008, p. 102.)

However, alchemically speaking, with (one assumes) the proper rituals, the “clock” can supposedly be turned-back (to the primordial time that the Egyptians designated “Zep Tepi”). But this is a return to disorder.
Hence, the trident – at once a symbol of disintegrating fire/lightning and of gnashing teeth – is a liminal (threshold) symbol. To put it differently, the teeth are the gatekeepers of the mouth – one of the sacred “nine bodily gates” in Tantric sex-magic. The teeth/mouth are a gateway into the digestive system, which facilitates the breakdown of matter for use by the body.

Put together, one could make a case that the trident is an emblem of breakdown – chewing, if you like. It signals a process of dissolution or digestion.
It is an analog to the fire into which the Phoenix-bird must consign herself before her reanimation. The Phoenix is consumed by fire, the way the mouth consumes food-matter. The trident may thus fit into the “ordo ab chao” (“order out of chaos”) symbol complex.
An interesting Lexi-Link is that “[t]he Three Treasures of Taoist alchemy are Shen (Mercury), Chi [Qi] (Sulfur), and Ching (Salt),” (Hauck, loc. cit.) and, at the same time, “[t]he [Hebrew] letter shin of the fire in the qabalistic world is symbolized by the teeth.” (Jean Dubuis, “The Becoming of Man,” Patrice Malézé, trans., Philosophers of Nature, lecture, 1992.)
The Taoist “Shen” is a close-syncromystic cousin to the Hebrew letter ‘Shin” (of which more below). One guess: what shape do you think that the Hebrew letter Shin has? It’s a trident, of course!

“A symbol of sea deities, whose palaces lie at the bottom of the ocean depths, the trident was originally a depiction of the teeth of sea-monsters and resembled the foaming crests of the storm-tossed waves. …It was the weapon …of a class of Roman gladiator known as the retiarius, who fought with net and trident. “On a coin found in Afghanistan is a figure having a long coat, boots, and a high Phrygian cap, standing by an incense altar with our English trident, to which emblem much mystery attaches itself. We are said to have received the trident from the Buddhists, but they had it from the same source as ourselves; i.e., from the priest’s flesh-hook of three teeth …, the word for which in Hebrew is …[shelosh], or ‘three;’ the form of the fork as seen on Buddhist coins being the very shape of the [Hebrew] letter shin], which forms the most important part of the word. At this point I can only honestly say that the trident, for me, signifies an event in the near future that will involve water. For many, many years I have analyzed my water-related dreams. In many instances flooding is a major theme. From June 1993, when I had my first major water/flooding dream (this involving the Mississippi River flooding – which it was then in the process of doing, something I was unaware of at the time) to now, the water dreams – and the ever important Trident symbol – to me, indicate a major, water-related event in our near future. Indeed, the trident symbol is popping up seemingly everywhere and I have been noting it for many weeks now. I won’t speculate any further at this time, but as someone who analyzes synchromystic events, the trident is a major clue to a future event.

As someone who’s continuously reminded that ‘there is no spoon’, perhaps it’s not surprising how the first thing coming to mind with the symbol of a trident, is a fork. Therein lies what I believe could be the hidden message whispered to us by all the “trident tragedies”:

A fork in the road.

A Fortean should always be mindful of history, and I find it incredibly relevant how a hundred years ago, the World was sent into a bellicose conflagration of terrible proportions in human cost & suffering, triggered by a felony as seemingly unimportant in the global scheme of things –the assassination of Duke Franz Ferdinand on June 28,1914– as say, the downing of a commercial airline jet by a antiaircraft missile launched during the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, on July 17 of this year.

Could our society be dragged into another World War because of this crime? Sadly, it doesn’t seem as if the lessons from the past were learned well enough. And with the United States’ diplomatic relations with Russia being at an all-time low –on top of president Obama’s decision of returning to Iraq, in a desperate attempt to try & fix the messed left by the American mishandling of the Middle East– the proverbial coin is still on the air.
We should do well in remaining attentive to the signs of the times, while we wait to see whether it’s heads or tails. Because I have the growing suspicions that someone… or something, is trying to warn us not to make the same mistakes all over again.
Dare we choose to take a different path this time?

If the observer is late to the synchronicity or even “synchro-mysticism” game, they might be forgiven for doubting that One symbol could have such importance above and beyond the other, many symbols we’re bombarded with in the early stages of the 21st century. But the observer would have to admit that the symbol we’re entertaining these days, The Trident, is one symbol, yes, but more importantly, a symbol for Threes. It has a full belly. I’ll confess that I had not been at all aware of any kind of unified recognition of the importance of the trident, simply for lack of time spent at some of my favorite websites and eddies of abstract thought. Now that I’ve been alerted and done some catching up, there’s simply no doubt that the Trident has arrived at its most deeply penetrating and pivotal time and place. I am going to try to keep this facile analysis to a fittingly short length, for two reasons: because I am admittedly new to meditating on the Trident as pan-cultural/epochal symbolism, but also because i suspect a loose, disconnected treatment of this bit of esotera might be appropriate, as a sort of entreaty to the subconscious to shed more light on the matter. As i understand it, there are the following primary significances of the Trident as it appears to be cropping up throughout the human condition and earth politics these days:
1. As a symbol of both the Ocean and humanity’s system of Father Gods, some of whom identified with the trident as symbol, though they were of disparate origins. I am thinking of Shiva, Neptune, and Brittania. There is some perhaps obvious connection between the creation of Life and the prime material we call the Ocean.
2. As a symbol of the Ukraine, but also of Malaysian Airlines. Normally, these two separate symbolic appearances might earn their own numeric bullet points, but in this case they are inseparable, given the downing of the second Malaysian plane over the Ukraine. I haven’t researched the literal significance of the military war games being conducted recently in that regional theater by the western powers, but the name for this series of games includes “Trident.” It should be assumed the US military and their allies named the dry-run operations in honor of the flag of the Ukraine, as these outfits have a well-known lust for Tradition. If it can’t be determined that the operation-name was a formally acknowledged reference to the Ukrainian trident, then this is even more significant. As a connected aside, the record shows that the Ukrainian Coat of Arms (a sigil that under any conditions is generally pregnant with ancient allegory) received its trident makeover in 1918, near the end of a certain drastic rearrangement of power relations that featured mass death and military excess. The Ukrainian Trident is reputed to be a “stylization” of an eagle. It may or may not be, but I would not be able to see this avian origin, off-hand or spontaneously upon first viewing the Coat.

3. Superman movies. Suffice it to say there is an absurd level of mystical and occult “coincidence” that can be reasonably admitted to, in the production of these “Super-Hero” movies. (A super-hero is traditionally a demi-god, remember from ancient times and lore.) When Superman vs. Batman eventually hits the theaters, I will personally have no trouble seeing the affair as a battle between the Nietzschean Uber-man and the dark subconscious of the Skull and Bones/nocturnal/Batman nature of humanity. I have some trouble interpreting the movie as a battle between anything other than Bad and More Bad, but getting on with it…there is a strange level of hinting and winking in the recent Superman movie, as regards bits of detritus bearing certain numbers that link Malaysian airplanes with Indian Oceans, with trident-shaped alien craft. Naturally, Aquaman has to be thrown in to this mix, and oddly enough, I do not recall this superhero wielding or being associated with tridents, from my youthful awareness of the super-hero pantheon. He seems to have re-outfitted himself in keeping with the violence of our times.
4. As a shorthand symbol for the Nuclear Arsenal and Partnership existing between Scotland and the UK. Possibly this nomenclature here is explained by the symbolic Goddess of these islands, Brittania, who holds a trident (or alternately, an anchor, which also has three points. But so does the Christian Cross…)
If we consult the dubious but no less trusted aspect of the Mass-collective mind, Wikipedia, we find that the trident of the Hindu God, Shiva, represented the triple-aspect of Creator-Sustainer-Destroyer. I don’t think the number Three in all this can be over-estimated. True enough, the triple-pronged fork has a practical aspect, in terms of fishing, and with its generally barbed prongs, its capacity for impaling and then trapping its prey. But it seems somehow foolish to think that Neptune and Shiva and Brittania would all carry a trident just because it represents dominion over the sea, and thus earth. There are surely more profound symbolic suggestions there.
In strictly geo-political terms, the trident to me relates to the axis of power which many hold to be dominating the world right now: America-Britain-Israel. All these nations happen to be obsessed with the sacred mystery religions, and a kind of Pro-active Destiny Fetish.
The trident may well be a stylized flame, and our apprehension of it may well be the typically half-revealed one. We’re profane analysts looking in from the outside after all. If this is the case, then the symbol itself is a union of opposites, Fire and Water. Zeus and Neptune are brothers, they have dominion over Sky and Sea, Fire and Water. It’s hard to overlook the two separate instances of death people have cited as synchro-mystically strange in recent days, involving Venice beaches in both Florida and California. They suffered in both cases from death from above, as they were at the ocean.
My limp, subconscious mind Feels that the proliferation of this ancient and unusually pregnant esoteric device, The Trident, is kind of the Mother Goddess of the father-god dominated system of symbols we have lately and with increasing intensity become aware of. Like any super-pregnant depository of ancient wisdom (these are commonly called and understood as the word, “symbols!”) the Trident must be assumed as possessing numerous allegorical meanings, layered upon one another like steps to the top of a pyramid of understanding. My somewhat more rigid, rational mind feels that in this tidal wave of three-pronged symbolism washing over media and human consciousness, we are simply, once more, being treated to a display of some symbolic crytsallization of The Union of Opposites, the die-hard dictate of the hermetic maxim, “As Above, So Below.” That’s a Hollywood movie coming out, too. A bit more of the old astro-theology for our dream-diet. The Ocean Giveth, and it Taketh.
The training I have already received from movies and history and a lifetime of newspaper-scanning suggests to me that Something which proceeds from the vast oceans of the world is forthcoming. Perhaps a giant metal craft that defies and challenges the internal combustion engine will appear out of the sea. Or maybe a Kraken or Sea-Beast or World-Eating Revelations Robot that is so Big it only needs three teeth, and will fatten itself on everything. We must wait for the high society of politicans and newspaper reporters to explain that event to us.

If you have not watched The Fisher King with your synch-goggles fitted tightly on, you are in for what I predict will be a fruity, rainbow-inflected ride. I was legitimately taken aback, horrified, and stunned by the sheer number of occult transmissions that dark movie subjected me to. Hitherto, I had only considered it a reasonably amusing, if dated, Terry Gilliam effort. Now I’m forced to view Gilliam as some kind of mad kabalist who has now produced, in effect, two death films starring famous and beloved actor-personalities. Whether Gilliam knew what was up is debatable, of course, but sound money is on his, at least, unconscious involvement.

Yes, there is a trident, and a most obvious one if the viewer is sufficiently trained for the looking. In the scene where Jeff “Bridges” goes to secure the Grail on behalf of a ritually dead Williams (comatose), he scales a wall using a covert trident, an anchor. That’s not what I would use if was going to scale a wall. Anyway, the anchor is a virtual replica of the Popeye tattoo, it’s an “iconic” anchor. My impression is that the movie takes on an even more esoteric flavor from the point where William’s love interest is introduced. Note the funny bed sheets and pajamas of the comatose and soon-to-be-rebirthed Williams. Of course the reason I re-watched the movie at all is because of its infamous Nein-11 synch, a real forceful one. A big clock on a highrise building shows the unholy kabalist mind-controlling numerals (tee hee), and the viewer is trained to observe the clock already, from a previous, kind of unaccountable showing.
Just wanted you to consider checking it out, if you haven’t already. It is really quite gruesome and irreverent, especially considering Williams’ ritualized coma-death and Grail affiliation, and even more so, his arrival in the movie, as a man that saves Jeff “Bridges” from being burnt to death by hooligans, after they prevent him from committing suicide by water in the Hudson. It may even be the Brooklyn Bridge, which would synch ominously perhaps with the recent unexplained magic hurly-burly with the two whited out American flags on that bridge. You are probably aware that ritual murders are often undertaken at bridges, in the grand old, often Masonic, tradition. The symbolic substance of rivers and bridges over them, the afterlife, and so forth, is the kernel of all that cuteness, as I understand it.

Dagon, the “fish-god.”

Relating all things “Trident” to Neptune seems to have missed the connections to Dagon/Gaza.
This is from the Wikipedia: In the Tanakh (also referred to as the Old Testament or Hebrew Bible), Dagon is particularly the god of the Philistines with temples at Beth-dagon in the tribe of Asher (Joshua 19.27), in Gaza (Judges 16.23, which tells soon after how the temple is destroyed by Samson as his last act). Dagon is posited as the child of Sky/Uranus and with the number of Trident/water/sky connections (2xMalaysian 777 airlines, Ukraine, Gaza, offshore Gas reserves, giant Tridents at the World Trade, giant storms found raging on Uranus – the 7th planet, seven representing Trident in Gematria etc.). There certainly seems to be some deep synchronicity at play here.

The trident is one of humanity’s most ancient symbols, and can be seen in neolithic cave paintings and petroglyphs on multiple continents. Michael Talbott, Wallace Thornhill, and Anthony Peratt, proponents of the Electric Universe Theory, have proposed that the ancient rock artists produced images of phenomena that they saw in the sky, a sky much different than the one we observe today. They suggest that tridents and other shapes that are found in rock art worldwide appeared in the ancient sky as a result of plasma discharges in space. Peratt’s comparison of ancient rock art and consistently observed plasma discharge configurations created in the laboratory is compelling.
In myth-based classical art, the trident and variations on the “thunderbolts of the gods” bear close resemblances to plasma discharge configurations.

In more recent times, the trident has made appearances in crop formations.

Crop formations themselves have multiple associations with plasma. An early explanation for their creation was that they are made by naturally occurring plasma vortices, though as the complexity of the designs increased, this theory became less tenable. Intelligently directed plasma beams directed at the fields has been more recently been offered as an explanation. Also, aerial “plasma balls,” sometimes described as appearing to have intelligence, are often described by witnesses in the vicinity of the formations. Even more interestingly, some researchers claim to have decoded crop designs, and have come to believe that some formations accurately predict solar storms and potentially hazardous coronal mass ejections (CMEs) that often accompany solar flares. When a CME occurs, the ejected material is plasma.

In recent news stories, scientists have warned that a massive CME striking the earth, an event which takes place about every century and a half on average, would have devastating consequences. Our civilization is highly dependent on electricity, and a massive CME could fry sensitive electronic devices, and might even take out the world’s power grids. The last time this happened was in 1859, when “The Carrington Event” wreaked havoc with telegraph systems. Sparks shot out of telegraph equipment, causing injuries and fires, and much equipment was rendered inoperable. Auroras were seen as far south as the Caribbean. The Charleston Mercury ran the following eyewitness account from a woman in South Carolina: “The eastern sky appeared of a blood red color. It seemed brightest exactly in the east, as though the full moon, or rather the sun, were about to rise. It extended almost to the zenith. The whole island was illuminated. The sea reflected the phenomenon, and no one could look at it without thinking of the passage in the Bible which says, ‘the sea was turned to blood.’ The shells on the beach, reflecting light, resembled coals of fire.” Auroras…and a Red Dawn. Regular Twilight Language readers will recognize these as recurring syncs.

Perhaps the syncs we have been seeing – tridents and others – foreshadow a coming catastrophic solar storm. “There’s a storm coming,” is another motif that has appeared repeatedly in synchromystic analyses, and in mythology, Poseidon used his trident to raise and calm storms. According to physicist Pete Riley, there is a 12% probability of a Carrington-class solar storm hitting earth in the coming decade. Such an event would cause extended, population-decimating blackouts (Dark (K)nights), and would cause planes to fall from the sky (something that has happened all too frequently this year, each time with attendant, oftentimes trident-related, syncs).

I don’t imagine anyone in a position to harden our electrical systems would be receptive to warnings based on synchromystic interpretations of airliner logos, Super Bowl commercials, and such. Fortunately, however, the U.S. government has already acknowledged the threat, though effective legislation requiring shielding of our critical electric infrastructure has yet to pass. Whether I am on to something with my “link the syncs” or not, the threat of massive solar storms is real, and we should follow the triply-given advice provided during Super Bowl XLVII: “Prepare.” (See video #1 and #2.)

My two cents? It’s very simple, really; the Trident is a weapon,
associated with the gods, with three prongs. Its appearance is a
foreshadowing of the fast-approaching Third World War. Actually, I think

operational nuclear weapon was tested at the Trinity Site on the 33º

one-third of a Holy Trinity. Isis was known by three names in Rome:
Isis-Sothis-Demeter. Sothis refers to the triple star system of Sirius.

The Ancient Greeks minted coins with Demeter on the obverse, Poseidon and
trident on the reverse. Demeter reduced the world to ashes when her
daughter was kidnapped by Hades, who was often portrayed bearing a trident
(more often a bident). Hades kingdom was guarded by a three-headed dog.
Descriptions of ancient nuclear weapons are all over the world’s ancient religious texts, also associated with the gods. In one of these stories – of Sodom and Gomorrah – Abraham was warned of the cities’ destruction by three angels. Abraham became the founder of “three great religions” now at war in the Middle East – Judaism, Christianity (which worships a Trinity) and Islam (which holds a trinity of holy places; Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem).
