Mars Red: A New Red Dawn?

(excerpt: Twilight Language )

Mars Red, psychologically, won Iowa. That name would be heard as Marco Rubio on the morning news channels, but in terms of twilight language, it is a new Red Dawn to watch. As more than one mainstream media commentator said on Tuesday AM, Rubio has a “target on his back.”
Fox News headlines said it all, after the Iowa results were clear.

Marcus “Marco” Antonio Rubio, a Cuban-American, was born May 28, 1971, in Miami, Florida. (On May 28, 2002, the Mars Odyssey finds signs of large ice deposits on the planet Mars.) Rubio is the junior United States Senator from the state of Florida, serving since January 2011, and is a candidate for President of the United States in the 2016 election. He previously served as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives.

Marcus is a masculine given name of Ancient Roman pre-Christian origin derived either from Etruscan Marce of unknown meaning (possibly from the Etruscan “mar” which means “to harvest”), or referring to the god Mars.

The name Marco is a baby boy name. The name Marco comes from the Italian origin.  Italian form ofMarcus: Mars (Roman god of war). Famous Bearer: Marco Polo (1254-1324), explorer from Venice. In Italian, the meaning of the name Marco means, “Warlike, Warring, Mars, Roman God of War.”

The name Antonio is a Latin name, meaning, “Worthy of praise; of value.” Saint Anthony is the patron sain of poor people. The Rubio name is Spanish, a nickname from rubio “red” (Latin rubeus), probably denoting someone with red hair or a red beard.

Marco Rubio, quite literally, means “Mars Red.”

Addenda

I’m busy. I don’t read everything I should throughout the sync field, so I am happy to hear from folks catching me up.

Therefore, one primary researcher in this realm needs to be credited and mentioned.

Within the synchromystic world, this individual has noticed the involvement of Mars in this year’s political arena.

Since 2010, Goro, who writes the blog Etemenanki, has noted that something special was going to happen with Marco Rubio.

Writing in 2012, revised in 2013, Goro notes of a special,

first “moment of truth” will come in 2016 when Mars One/SpaceX launches their first supply (unmanned) mission to Mars. (Notice how this might coincide with Marco Rubio/”Mars Red” becoming president [or vice president] of the United States.) If successful, we are going to see the beginning of a real “Mars fever” on this planet – an excitement that will eventually match and surpass that of the Moon race half a century ago.
Think about it. Going to Mars is exciting enough, streaming it all live is exciting enough, but this will all culminate in a one-way trip to Mars for the “lucky” four astronauts. Can you imagine the the intensity of all the drama that will surely surround the insanely historic launch? It will be surreal. And that’s only about a decade away (2023). That’s like from 9/11 to now. That’s not a very long time to wait. I’m sure some of you have been following my work longer than that!

Goro projects:

The rapid, post-election rise of Marco Rubio as the new (“Martian”) star of the GOP and a leading Republican contender for the 2016 presidential election (a status boosted by his Hispanic ethnicity), confirming our long-running projection – starting all the way back in 2010 – that Rubio/”Red” will be in the White House from 2016 when mankind will be reaching for Mars in a big way.

Furthermore, Matthew Bell emailed me, also, that Trump’s supporters were analyzed in October 2015, as “Middle American Radicals” – MARS.

What About Bob? Bridgewater Plaza Crime Scene

By: Twilight Language

The 1991 crazy comedy, What About Bob?, was filmed at Smith Mountain Lake – the site of the Bridgewater Plaza shootings. In the movie, starring Bill Murray and Richard Dreyfuss, a successful psychiatrist (Dreyfuss) loses his mind after one of his most dependent patients, a highly manipulative obsessive-compulsive (Murray), tracks him down during his family vacation.

The setting for the fictional narrative was Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire, but because the leaves were turning their fall colors, the movie was filmed in and around the town of Moneta and Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia.

Quote from the film:

[Leo has a rifle pointed at Bob]
Bob Wiley (Bill Murray): What are we doing?
Dr. Leo Marvin (Richard Dreyfuss): Death Therapy, Bob. It’s a guaranteed cure.

Aurora Copycat Effect: The Complete List

By : Twilight Language

by Loren Coleman ©2012

The copycat effect is real. A new wave of violent copycat incidents has begun due to the Aurora shooting event that left 12 dead and 58 injured on July 20, 2012.

If you’ve been reading here for long, you know this. If you are a person only following the mainstream news, you may have not realized the extent of how widespread the copycats are already. Downplaying the copycat effect has been the modus operandi of the media, but there does seem to be some movement to be a bit more open about the reality of behavior contagion after Aurora.

Still, the confusion about “how many” copycats is beginning again. For example, despite the first weekend after the Aurora event resulting in at least three media-mentioned incidents, you can read statements like the following one on July 27th: “In the wake of the Aurora, Colorado mass shooting — which may have spawned at least one would-be copycat thwarted today in Maryland — some of the violence-based laughs in the Ben Stiller-Vince Vaughn comedy [The Watch] might hit too close to home for some moviegoers,” (Movieline, July 27, 2012).

Even New York Magazine today counted only three (involved one different copycat than noted in the “first three” mentioned last weekend) in “Aurora Shooting Copycats: Part III“.

One copycat? Three? No, no, no.

The media and most of the general public have short memories. Both have forgotten about the Joker copycat violence after 2008’s The Dark Knight. In 2012, the mainstream news organizations forget, from day to day, what copycats and near-copycats have occurred. They recall the large events, the ones that go wall-to-wall, but the general practice has been to downplay the resulting ripples, the “lesser” copycats after the larger events.

The Dendermonde Joker (wearing a bulletproof vest, with a backpack, and makeup like The Joker) struck on January 23, 2009, at a “Fairytale-land” or “Fabeltjeslandcreche or daycare in Belgium. He killed two babies and a teacher, and also injured 12 others in his rampage stabbing. Although July 18, 2008 was the date of the first release of The Dark Knight, Warner Brothers re-released The Dark Knight in traditional theaters and IMAX theaters in the United States – as well as in other countries – on January 23, 2009. That date is exactly the same one as the Dendermonde Joker. The trend of Joker copycats is a recent phenomenon (see Joker Copycats: 2008-2112).

On this blog, I will keep track of the fact that an active series of copycat incidents (in the wake of the July 20, 2012 midnight mass shooting during The Dark Knight Rise) is occurring right now. I’m going to start posting all the probable occurrences here, in an active listing that I will update, as needed, to track the copycats.

Copycats, of course, mirror each other, and especially the initial “new” incident in simplistic terms. They usually involve elements of the reference event, such as the suspect’s same gender and race, the killer’s methods, the overall framework, and other reflective details that can only be inferred from reported accounts. (For professionals in the fields of law enforcement, security, mental health, education, media, entertainment, sports, and, yes, specifically now, theater management, I recommend reading The Copycat Effect for more in-depth insights about copycats and the prevention of them.)

With regard to weapons used, for example, the blueprints of future copycat armaments were mapped out graphically in the first accounts flashed across your television screen on July 20th. Let me show you. Below are sample pictures of what suspect James Holmes allegedly used in Theater No. 9. Also, the exact details are repeated often, as they were again this weekend: “He was caught carrying an AR-15 assault rifle, a Remington 870 shotgun, a .40-caliber Glock handgun and a hunting knife. He had purchased nearly 6,000 rounds of ammunitions and multiple magazines for the rifle, including a 100-bullet drum that can unload 60 rounds a minute, according to Aurora police chief Daniel Oates,” mentioned the New York Daily News on Saturday, July 28, 2012.

What Holmes allegedly wore, what he allegedly used for the attack, and even what he was allegedly wearing under his body armor (the Joker attire) were all visually (in images or words) shared in the media.

Photographs at the crime scene also demonstrated what was used.
Descriptions of the probable use of tear gas canisters were all over the news too.

How completely does this copycat effect work? Well, early written and spoken reports that Holmes had a goatee apparently were incorrect as demonstrated when his mugshot was released days after his arrest. But the first weekend’s copycats had marginal facial hair, not too surprisingly.

With the news filtering through of the copycats, various elements of Aurora are clearly visible in the unfolding imitations.

I will keep this list current as I receive confirmation of new incidents, organized from most recent to the older stories. You may wish to check back here to see if research has uncovered more info or others have been added to the data reflecting shadowy Colorado, Joker, and The Dark Knight-related copycats in the wake of the abhorrent Aurora red dawn event. You will note there is a progression in these copycat events, from incidents that might be called “forestalled,” “threats,” and “weak,” to ones that end in more increased “drama,” then heightened danger and deaths. Just as the awareness and alerts begin to drop off, the actual acuteness of the copycats increase.

A storm is still coming. The red dawn event of Colorado’s Aurora is not finished. Be aware. Beware. Be safe.

The Aurora Copycats: The List

(15.) Sunday, August 4, 2012. Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

The Sikh Temple shooting leaves seven dead, including the shooter Wade Michael Page (who lived on Holmes Avenue in nearby Cuhady, Wisconsin) and use to live in Littleton, Colorado (location of Columbine). See “Sikh Temple Shooter: First News,” “Dark Knight’s Sikh Link,” “Sikh Shooter Id,” and “Who Was Wade Michael Page.”

(14.) Saturday, August 3, 2012. Westlake, Ohio.

Several local television stations have identified the suspect who walked into a Westlake movie theater with a cachet of weapons Saturday as Scott A. Smith, 37, of North Ridgeville.
Police said the suspect was arrested just after 10 p.m. without incident after a theater employee alerted an off-duty officer working security there that one of the patrons was acting suspiciously.
The officer asked to search the suspect’s bag and discovered a loaded 9mm handgun and two magazines of ammunition, along with knives.
The incident occurred during a showing of The Dark Knight Rises, the same film during which a 24-year-old gunman opened fire in an Aurora, Colorado theater last month.
Investigators executed a search warrant Monday at the suspect’s home in North Ridgeville.
He is being held in Westlake jail on local weapons charges while agents from the FBI assist in the search for clues. The suspect could face federal charges related to the incident.
In July, immediately following the Colorado shootings, Westlake Police Capt. Guy Turner told theatergoers to remain vigilant as they went about their business at Crocker Park.
Turner said police and security workers would be “highly visible” at Crocker Park in the wake of the Colorado incident.
“Keep calm and carry on and do what you were going to do,” Turner said. “But if you see something suspicious, something that bothers you, your first instincts are usually correct. Tell a police officer, tell a movie theater employee and let them check it out.”

(13.) Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Eagan, Minnesota.

(I must point out that “Eagan” is the middle name of James Eagan Holmes.)
Eagan, Minnesota, police say officers responding to a report of loud music ended up arresting a man making repeated references to “the Joker” and the Colorado theater shooting, telling police he understands the shooter’s motives and would embark on his own rampage.
At 6:13 p.m. on July 31, officers responding to the scene on the 4000 block of Ridge Cliff Drive found 56-year-old Thomas Michael Casper standing in his neighbor’s driveway.
Once identifying Casper, police learned he had an active misdemeanor warrant out of Dakota County and they placed him under arrest. Police said he voluntarily put his hands behind his back as the officer put him in handcuffs; however, he became agitated and started cursing as he approached the squad car.
Officers say while he was being escorted, he began making reference to “the Joker” and the shooting suspect facing trial for the shooting in Aurora, Colo.
As Casper was being put inside the squad, he told police he was “the Joker” and shouted “I’m coming back. You guys are done!” at his neighbors.
While he was being taken to the Dakota County Jail, Casper kept referencing “the Joker.” Soon, he began making threats toward the officers, saying, “I’m such a criminal. I should be the Joker. If I had a gun, I would kill you.”
Casper then told officers he should have dyed his hair orange, and he wavered between asking them to let him go and urging them to keep him in custody.
Casper said, “My home is in foreclosure. I have been kicked out of my house. What else can go wrong? It doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t own a gun, but if I did, I would do what Holmes did. I would blow people away. Put me in jail for the rest of my life, I don’t care. Put me in jail with criminals. I grab them by the throat and kill them.”
Police said they believe Casper’s threats are genuine, saying that he would attempt to carry out some of the threats against his neighbors and officers.
“You better not let me go, or I’ll go after the neighbors,” Casper told officers while in custody. “I don’t own a weapon, but I’ll come after you f—— and I’ll shoot you. I can understand why Holmes does it. Let me have your gun, I’ll shoot in the f—— head. I’ll find you sometime.”
Casper repeatedly told officers that he has nothing going for him anymore now that his home is in foreclosure.
Casper is being held in the Dakota County Jail on $80,000 bail as he awaits charges of terroristic threats.

(12.) Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Miami Beach, Florida.

David Martin Escamillo, 44, of Miami Beach, after walking up and down a theater’s aisle, arguing with a patron, leaving the theater, then returning wearing black gloves, caused a panic at a midnight showing of The Dark Knight Rises. When he came back in, he was shouting, “This is IT.”
About 140 moviegoers blotted out of the Regal South Beach theater on Lincoln Road at about 12:15 am Tuesday. Police then received multiple reports of gunshots inside Theater #2. When they arrived, however, there was no evidence of gunfire, and they found several moviegoers detaining Escamillo. Escamillo, who lives near the theater and sports a tattoo reading “Las Vegas 777,” smelled of alcohol and kept yelling “I didn’t shoot anybody.”

(11.) Sunday, July 29, 2012. Kent, Ohio.

Brunswick, Ohio native 19-year-old Ohio student William Koberna has been arrested after posting a Twitter message saying he planned to “shoot up” the Kent State University campus, just like the Aurora movie theater. (Articles used “Copycat” in their headlines.)
Koberna was arrested at his parents’ Brunswick, Ohio home on Sunday on charges of inducing panic and aggravated menace related to the tweet.
Koberna’s friend Ashley Mikulec confirmed that he was indeed arrested, saying:
“Holy sh*t I can’t believe bill got arrested for a tweet. If they saw half of his tweets and took them seriously he’d be in a mental asylum.”
The University took swift action. Kent State University President Lester Lefton said:
“Any threat to our campus community is taken seriously and immediately investigated…Our students, employees, and all those who come to campus should know that their safety is our top priority.”

(10.) Friday, July 27, 2012. Pendleton, Indiana.

Jim Kenneth Bailey, 59, ended his shooting rampage by killing himself in the early hours of Friday. What Bailey brought to the incident appears to have copied some elements of the Aurora shooting. Among Bailey’s alarming hoard of weapons were a pistol, an AK-47, a flak jacket, and a gas mask. The reality is two men were dead, one K-9 officer was also killed, and a police was severely injured, when this incident was finished.
An innocent bystander, Neal Shull, the owner of a local painting business, was fatally shot by Jim Kenneth Bailey when the killer opened fire on two policemen responding to reports of shots being fired. The victim was driving by in Pendleton, Indiana, when he got caught in the crossfire. After a seven-hour stand-off Bailey turned the gun on himself.
One of the officers, Marty Dulworth, was shot in both legs during the violent attack. Adding to the tragedy Dulworth’s K-9 dog, Kilo, was also caught in the gunfire and was killed.
Homeowner Angela Reynolds made the first call after hearing rapid fire shots coming from her garage on the 300 block of East Water Street.
The town was sealed off while police hunted, then found Bailey, using helicopters, supported by SWAT teams.
(Pendleton, Indiana, is historically recalled for the Fall Creek Massacre, the name given to the brutal murders by white settlers of nine members of a peaceful group of Seneca and Miami Indians, led by Chief Logan. The actual massacre occurred on March 22, 1824 in Madison County, Indiana between Fall Creek and Deer Lick Creek. The Massacre’s leader, James Hudson’s trial was held October 7–9, 1824. Trials of the other men were held in 1825. The trial set an important precedent in recognizing the civil rights of Native Americans. The three men were hanged for their crimes at Falls Park in Pendleton, Indiana. This marked the first time white men were executed for the murder of Native Americans in the United States. There is a historical marker in Falls Park at the place of the hanging. The inscription reads: “Three white men were hung [sic] here in 1825 for killing Indians.”)

(9.) Thursday, July 26, 2012. Crofton, Maryland.

Neil Prescott (above), 28, called his workplace, called himself “a Joker,” and threatened to “shoot the place up.” His job was at Pitney Bowes, a software and mailroom supplier in Prince George’s County. Prescott was arrested because the officials believed the threat could have been carried out “as a copycat of the shooting massacre one week ago in Aurora, Colorado, in which 12 people were killed and 58 injured during a midnight viewing of the new Batman film The Dark Knight Rises.”
The fact he said, “I am a joker. I’m gonna load my guns and blow everybody up,” to his supervisor was key. The suspect was also wearing a T-shirt that said, “Guns don’t kill people. I do,” when taken into custody, according to authorities.
“We can’t measure what we prevented here,” Prince George’s County Police Chief Mark Magaw told reporters Friday. “We averted a significant…and violent episode.”

Police said that when they took the man into custody, they found an “arsenal” of weapons (shown) inside his home. Police raided the man’s apartment in Crofton about 3:20 am on Friday and found a cache of 25 guns, including semi-automatic rifles as well as pistols and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
Asked by a reporter if, given the possible reference to the Joker, a Batman villain, the shooting plot was inspired by the mass killing in Aurora, Colorado, Chief Magaw said: ”It’s fairly obvious.”
Prescott was being held Friday at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, where he was undergoing a psychological evaluation. Crofton is located between Washington, D.C., and Annapolis, Maryland.

Moses Flores, 38, and Damaris Sanchez, 29, began fighting with officers who were called to the Concourse Plaza Multiplex (shown above) on Sherman Avenue at around 11:20 p.m. Thursday to remove them. Two NYPD officers suffered injuries while trying to eject two disorderly movie-goers from a showing of The Dark Knight Rises in the Bronx. A NYPD male officer suffered lacerations to the head and finger and a female officer suffered ringing in her ears after being hit in the head. Flores and Sanchez were charged with assaulting police officers.

(7.) Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Brooklyn, New York, New York.

Unnamed male, 60. A Department of Education worker was taken into police custody after he told police he was obsessed with the Colorado movie theater massacre suspect when authorities questioned him about photos of the alleged shooter he had at his office desk. Police responded to DoE’s Brooklyn technology offices Wednesday night after receiving complaints of the employee’s suspicious activity. They found a photo of suspect James Holmes on the employee’s computer screen and photos of the alleged killer “all over his desk,” a source familiar with the investigation said. The staff member was not at work when police arrived at the offices. Police went to his home, where he allegedly told them he was obsessed with Holmes. He told police Holmes reminded him of himself when he was younger and that he sympathized with the accused killer because he doesn’t like his co-workers. The man seemed dazed and appeared to be drinking. Police found pill bottles and alcohol in his apartment. The employee lunged at cops while inside his apartment, sources report. He was taken into custody and brought to Bellevue Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

(6.) Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Lexington, Kentucky.

Steven Kennedy (above), 28, a University of Kentucky political science student, is facing terroristic threat charges after he emailed a picture of the Batman character, “the Joker” to a school administrator, Terry Allen on Tuesday. The email was viewed as a threat in light of last Friday’s mass killing in Aurora, Colorado at a premiere showing of The Dark Knight Rises. The student reportedly emailed the picture after a complaint about the administrator was investigated and dismissed. Kennedy was arrested on a charge of Third Degree Terroristic Threatening, and entered a plea of not guilty to the misdemeanor at his arraignment in Fayette District Court.

Kennedy allegedly sent Allen an email on July 24th, asking why no one was responding to his emails, according to the warrant. “Kennedy then sent Mr. Allen a picture of the Joker from the Batman movie, and the Joker is holding a playing card and smiling,” the document said.
Kennedy was released on bond, and scheduled to appear before Judge T. Bruce Bell on August 8, for a pretrial conference.

(5.) Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Woodward, Oklahoma.

Timmy Dean Eike (above), 18, a senior at Woodward High School, was arrested on Tuesday night and police seized a shotgun, rifle and 250 rounds of ammunition from the bedroom of his Woodward home. He bought the 20-gauge shotgun July 5 and the rifle July 9, as well as handcuffs and a ski mask, the records show. A taxi driver, Travis Ballard, reported to authorities that Eike’s relatives told him they had witnessed Eike watching videos of the 1999 Columbine, Colorado, school shooting while loading his 20-gauge shotgun. Eike was then charged Wednesday in Oklahoma City federal court with illegally possessing firearms and with making false statements to purchase the weapons. He was being held Thursday in the Logan County jail.
The taxi driver, Ballard, reported to the Woodward County sheriff’s office that Eike had talked that day of avoiding arrest for murder. Eike had used the taxi service regularly in recent months to get from his home to a job at Walmart.
“During these trips, Eike had been asking Ballard very odd questions. Eike had been asking Ballard about how to hide dead bodies and what countries will extradite back to the United States,” agent Chad Oubre with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives wrote in a court affidavit.
“On July 22 … Eike asked Ballard if he had a warrant for his arrest, how hard the police would look for him. Ballard stated it would depend on what the warrant was for. Eike replied, ‘It would be for murder,'” the agent wrote.
(The name “Eike” means “edge of the sword.”)

(4.) Monday, July 23, 2012. Waunakee, Wisconsin.
Waunakee police are investigating a threat made on ESPN’s website a week ago to shoot people in a movie theater during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises, similar to an attack that happened on July 20 in Colorado. According to a search warrant filed in Dane County Circuit Court, someone using the screen name “Penn State Joepologist” posted on July 23, “I’M GOING TO SHOOT PEOPLE AT A BATMAN SHOWING NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!”
According to the warrant: The IP address for the person posting the comment belonged to TDS Telecom, which provided subscriber information for a home in Waunakee.
After police arrived at the home they found a 27-year-old man seated at a computer, and he admitted to police that he had been on the ESPN website and may have commented in a chat room when others were talking about the movie theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado, in which 12 people were killed and injured 58 others. But the Waunakee man, who is not being named by the State Journal because he has not been arrested or charged with a crime, told police that he didn’t recall making any comments about shooting anyone.
Waunakee Police Chief Kevin Plendl said he couldn’t discuss details of the case while it’s being investigated but said that police “absolutely” investigate threats of this nature that come to their attention. The man and his mother gave police consent to check the home for evidence of a planned movie theater attack, but the search warrant does not mention finding any. The computer was seized with the permission of the man’s mother for analysis.

After receiving the threatening phone call, police began to question whether or not James acted alone. Police questioned Yeom on July 21, but determined, “There is no reason to believe that he is involved.”

A word about mugshots and photographs: By definition, a mugshot of an individual apprehended during a criminal incident represents a factual event. All it means is that the person was arrested and a photograph was taken. Anything else is indeed an assumption, until a conviction is made. Official Records in their original form (“as is”) under the First Amendment to the United States Constitution, allows the press (the media, including Internet sites, in general, nowadays) the freedom to publish them as true and factual information. Other photographs shared may not show the suspect as he appears currently or at the time of mugshots, please note. Of course, mugshots are a moment in time, but then again, remember, some people do get convicted of their violence against others, eventually.

Bridgewater Plaza’s Batman Syncs

By: twilight Language

Synchromystic examinations of newly discovered photos of Bridgewater Plaza victim Alison Parker are being discussed today. The visual links to the Aurora events at The Dark Knight Rises are bizarre and give pause.

In one image, Alison Parker plays the Joker’s Harley Quinn (from Suicide Squad?) with Batman.

The newly posted tribute video by Daniel Wulz, Alison Bailey Parker’s allegedly former boyfriend, who calls himself “Batman,” contains the posted photographs. The Batman syncs are rather numerous.

After Alison Parker’s death, Wulz posted many images, in his very public mourning.
As Batman…
To see the video, click here.

Alison Parker grew up in Martinsville, Virginia, and attended Patrick Henry Community College and James Madison University.

Adam Ward graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in communications and media studies in 2011. He began the same year 2007, but during the fall, after the VA Tech “massacre.”

The “coincidence” of her cameraman’s name has hit various observers. Adam West/Burt Ward = Adam Ward.

Vester Flanagan (who sported a Superman tattoo) killed Adam Ward. And Batman’s girlfriend, Alison Parker. Was it Batman vs Superman?

WDBJ reporter Vester Lee Flanagan bought a television set from the same pawn shop, Roanoke Firearms, where Virginia Tech shooter Cho Seung-Hui purchased the gun he used in the 2007 massacre. After Flanagan’s purchase, he penned an eight-page rant detailing his unsatisfactory experience. The shop owner Doug Brandt kept the letter so if Flanagan ever tried to buy a gun there, he would be denied.

The month of August 2015 was filled with Batman syncs.

Eight people were found dead inside a home in north Houston, Texas, on the night of August 8, 2015. The suspect was arrested wearing a Batman shirt.

On August 15, 2015, Donald Trump said “I am Batman” to a child to whom he gave a free helicopter ride.

On August 16, 2015, police responding to a 911 call at about 3 am found 33-year-old E’Dena Hines – Morgan Freeman’s stepgranddaughter – lying on the street with multiple stab wounds to her chest. She had been murdered. Freeman was in the Dark Knight movies, and she accompanied him to the opening.

On August 16, 2015, a Batman impersonator died during a late night Maryland highway crash, when his Batmobile was propelled into him, killing him.

On August 17, 2015, actress Yvonne Craig, best known for her role as Batgirl in the 1960’s Batman TV series, died at the age of 78.

Top Ten American Triangles”

By: Twilight Language

As a renamed documentary, The Bridgewater Triangle will make its national television debut on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 10:00 PM Eastern Time, on the cable network Destination America. The channel will be airing a condensed broadcast hour (42 minute) cut of the film, under their newly created title, America’s Bermuda Triangle. The repeats will exist for years, and the awareness of the Bridgewater Triangle will expand.

The renaming of the documentary for the shorter version occurred weeks ago, perhaps even months before Wednesday, August 26, 2015’s major media eruption of the name “Bridgewater,” in conjunction with the first ever, on air, live shooting of two journalists. It was not lost on me that the shooting event happened at the Bridgewater Plaza in Virginia.

Bridgewaters, wherever they are, needless to say, have had a history of strange happenings and phenomena. In the 1830s, in Bridgewater, Pennsylvania, a small Bigfoot was confronted by a man picking berries; the creature ran off when chased. In December 1969, and then again in March-April 1970, near Bridgewater, Massachusetts, in the midst of the future named Bridgewater Triangle, many sightings of a Bigfoot, including by a police officer, took place. In the summer 1976, near Bridgewater, New Jersey, three teens saw a Bigfoot while they were playing in the woods and then found three-toed footprints. On July 27, 2015, a UFO sighting occurred in Bridgewater, New Jersey. There are also reports of a blond ghost around Bridgewater, New Jersey.

Bridgewater – a bridge over a body of water – evokes the challenge of the terrestrial over the aquatic.

America’s Bermuda Triangle

Of course, the new name given to the documentary by the cable network is relatively silly.

The actual coining of the term “Bermuda Triangle” seems to point to Vincent Gaddis, a Fortean friend of Ivan T. Sanderson. In the February 1964 issue of Argosy, Vincent Gaddis’ article “The Deadly Bermuda Triangle” used the phrase widely for the first time. Sanderson wrote the well-known followup article, “The Twelve Devil’s Graveyards Around the World,” in 1972, for Saga magazine.

The real Bermuda Triangle is partially in America, since Florida makes up part of the eastern side of that “triangle,” so why change the perfectly good name from The Bridgewater Triangle to America’s Bermuda Triangle? The moniker does acknowledge this is a new edit, and not the directors’ cut.

Destination America is also referring to what they feel is the better known “Bermuda Triangle” name, although they might be surprised how many people know about the Bridgewater Triangle, nowadays. Plus, most of the other “Triangles” have been labeled with those names because I began this practice in the 1970s, with the Bridgewater Triangle.

Therefore, since they gave The Bridgewater Triangle the name America’s Bermuda Triangle, let’s switch this back around a bit and look at

America’s Bridgewater Triangles

#1. Bridgewater Triangle, Massachusetts

The Bridgewater Triangle was coined in the late 1970s (probably 1976) by yours truly, Loren Coleman, who published the phrase for the first time in the April 1980 article of the same name inBoston Magazine, and in the 1983 book, Mysterious America (Faber and Faber, 1983; now in a completely revised 2007 edition). A local newspaper published the name “The Bridgewater Triangle” after I gave a library lecture using the phrase in the late 1970s, in the Bridgewater area.

The Bridgewater Triangle is the focus of decades of weird activity (UFO sightings; cattle mutilations; Hell Hound encounters; Black Panther accounts; Giant Snake tales; strange people disappearances; little creature folklore, plus the 1969-1970s Bigfoot activity mentioned above) in a 200-square-mile area in southeastern Massachusetts. The Bridgewater Triangle is roughly defined by the towns of Abington in the north, Freetown in the southeast, and Rehoboth in the southwest, an area that encompasses the Hockomock Swamp and the “infamous” Freetown/Fall River State Forest. (See at bottom for more information on The Bridgewater Triangle.)

#2. The Bennington Triangle, Vermont

The Bennington Triangle was coined by writer Joseph A. Citro in 1992. According to Citro, the area shares characteristics with the Bridgewater Triangle in neighboring Massachusetts, and so he used a similar name.

This Vermont location has many of the same phenomena found in the Bridgewater Triangle. Citro related the disappearances of Middie Rivers (1945), Paula Weldon (1946), James Tedford (1949), Paul Jepson (1950), and Frieda Langer (1950), to the Bennington Triangle.

One of the more bizarre legends associated with this Vermont site is the man-eating stone of Glastonbury Mountain, which made its first appearance in Citro’s book The Vermont Monster Guide(2009). The man-eating stone is exactly what it sounds like…a rock that eats people.

A Wikipedia editor rather harshly noted that “precisely what area is encompassed in this hypothetical ‘mystery triangle’ is not clear.”

But Citro is rather clear about where The Bennington Triangle is. It is centered on Glastenbury Mountain and includes some or most of the area of the towns immediately surrounding it, especially Bennington, Woodford, Shaftsbury, and Somerset. Glastenbury and its neighboring township Somerset were both once moderately thriving logging and industrial towns, but began declining toward the late 19th century and are now essentially ghost towns, unincorporated by an act of the state legislature in 1937.

#3. The Coudersport Triangle, Pennsylvania

Thunderbirds have been seen in northern Pennsylvania, in an area known as the “Coudersport Triangle,” which overlaps with the spooky Black Forest of the same location. Most of the Thunderbird sightings come from the Black Forest region of Clinton, Potter, Lycoming, Tioga, Cameron, and McKean counties, sparsely populated areas of mainly state forests and gamelands. Besides the Thunderbirds, tales of Black Panthers are part of the traditions here.

The major chronicler of the variously named Coudersport Triangle, Black Forest, or Forbidden Land accounts is the late Pennsylvania writer Robert Lyman, who penned a series of volumes in hisAmazing Indeed, Strange Events in the Black Forest series.

In 2004, I traveled to the Coudersport Triangle, on location for an episode of a Discovery program for young people on the Black Forest’s Thunderbird reports. Other programs have dealt with the same topic.

The Animal X program on the Black Forest contains eyewitness accounts from the Coudersport Triangle, but then drifts into showing the “Chief John Huffer” footage from Illinois of what appears to be turkey vultures (but acts like they are from Pennsylvania).

#4. The Virginia Triangle, Virginia and North Carolina

In Weird Virginia: Your Travel Guide to Virginia’s Local Legends and Best Kept Secrets (Sterling, 2007), I wrote of the “Virginia Triangle.” I penned this paragraph on page 37:

The Great Dismal Swamp is a marshy wetland that goes from Norfolk, located on the Elizabeth River, through southeastern Virginia’s Coast Plain into northeastern North Carolina. It has been known as a miniversion of the Bermuda Triangle, on the level of other states’ mystery triangles, like the Coudersport Triangle (linked to the Black Forest) in Pennsylvania or the Bridgewater Triangle (aligned with the Hockomock Swamp) in Massachusetts. Reports of ancient mysteries, as well as sighting of giant snakes and Bigfoot, have been associated with the Great Dismal Swamp.

Lake Drummond, a 3,100-acre lake, is located in the heart of the swamp, and only one of two natural lakes in Virginia. It was discovered in 1655, by former Scottish indentured servant William Drummond. Drummond went on to be governor of North Carolina, and was later hanged in Virginia. Lake Drummond is almost a perfect circle, and some thought has been given to it having been formed by a meteorite, a peat fire, or a tectonic shift. Native American tradition talks of “the Fire Bird” creating the freshwater lake.

#5. The Great Lakes Triangle and Michigan Triangle, Wisconsin, Michigan, Canada

Jay Gourley’s book The Great Lakes Triangle first appeared on May 12, 1977. The focus was the disappearance of planes and ships throughout the entire region of the Great Lakes, as shown on the map below. The area was too large for it to be seen as a popular topic for research discussions by the mainstream media.

On the television program In Search Of…, the late Leonard Nimoy narrated the episode entitled “The Great Lakes Triangle,” which aired on November 2, 1978.

As noted in the Skeptoid,
Author Hugh Cochrane thanks Jay Gourley in his own book, Gateway To Oblivion: The Great Lakes’ Bermuda Triangle. And from there, he expands upon the idea that the Great Lakes are host to vile vortices, UFO hotspots, Earth energies, and an entire catalog of unproven phenomena.
The Michigan Triangle, where many planes, ships, and people go missing, stretches from the town of Ludington to Benton Harbor in Michigan; another links from Benton Harbor to Manitowoc, Wisconsin; the final side connects Manitowoc back to Ludington. The Michigan Triangle is an extension of Jay Gourley’s original idea, earlier, of The Great Lakes Triangle.

The Lake Michigan Triangle has been mentioned on Willian Shatner’s Weird or What?, it has a place entry on the Atlas Obscura, and the Travel Channel’s Mysteries at the Museum reported on it.

#6. The Big Lick Triangle, Indiana and Kentucky

In 2013, a clever blogger named Ben did his homework, and came up with this:

Children, have you ever heard of “The Bridgewater Triangle?”
Go and google it … I’ll wait.
OK, as we all now know, “The Bridgewater Triangle” refers to this vague geographic area in southeast Massachusetts. Weighing in at about 200 square miles, the Bridgewater Triangle is claimed to be a hotbed of paranormal activity — like every X-File you can image: UFOs, ghosts of all kind, Bigfoot, Thunderbirds, cattle mutilation, satanic activity, black helicopters, phantom pumas …
Back in the 1980s, a paranormal researcher was looking at a map and noticed that a lot of his ghost, Bigfeet and flying saucer reports happened in southern Mass, a few hundred miles around a town called Bridgewater. So he got his magic marker / sharpie, drew the rough borders on the map, and BAM! Instant paranormal fame.

Well, since that Fortean researcher was me (Loren Coleman) and I didn’t use a magic marker in the 1970s (not the 1980s), I am honored by this cute passage, anyway.

Ben* goes on to notice the strange coincidences of his own area’s phenomena – in a rough shape configured with three towns named Lick on each corner. Then he coined the name The Big Lick Triangle.

His body of linking evidence shows he had fun, especially since his area is “roughly 2269.9 square miles of weird” compared to 200 square miles of the Bridgewater Triangle. He surprisingly found much more that was strange in this Triangle that he reckoned for, and he appears to have been overjoyed with his discoveries.

My personal favorite in The Big Lick Triangle – and one that I have mentioned in my books – is the green, 10-foot-tall monster with glowing red eyes, seen in March 1965, by teenagers in the woods south of French Lick, Indiana. It grew to be called “Fluorescent Freddie.” Unfortunately, it never became as famous as that other local tall native – Larry Bird.

*Update: “Ben” read this selection and got in contact. He identifies himself as Ben Schneider, and pointed out the fact “The Big Lick Triangle” has a curious name game to note. There is a “Bridgewater” name inside the configured area. It’s the Bridgewater Cemetery in Scottsburg, Indiana, a town near the northern border of the Big Lick Triangle. Quoting from Ben’s blog, the Bridgewater Cemetery is “haunted by an entity called ‘Old Red Eyes.’ It is often seen glowing at the back of the cemetery. A black form or object will often circle around cars, and handprints will appear on the windows. A white phantom horse sometimes chases gawkers away at night, and there is also the glowing tombstone of a man who awakens at night and guards the front gate.”

Ben’s comedic relief is apparent in his creation of this Triangle, but there’s no reason to leave it off the list of Triangles, even if we know he’s somewhat doing this exercise with his tongue firming in his cheek. He may have been hiding his Fortean wit behind his sarcasm, but the end result was pure satisfaction and enjoyment.

#7. The Nevada Triangle, Nevada and California

The disappearance of maverick aviator and daredevil entrepreneur Steve Fossett in 2007 brought into focus an area called The Nevada Triangle. Observers have documented more than 2,000 planes having crashed there in the past 60 years, including reports of UFOs and alien abduction, in the area that emcompasses Reno, Fresno, China Lake, Las Vegas, and Groom Lake, a/k/a Area 51. Any location with Area 51 appears destined to be an enigmatic area, right?

The Mystery of the Nevada Triangle was a 2010 Channel 4 (UK) production about the location and the disappearance of Steve Fossett. Several news outlets, such as Fox News, reported on The Nevada Triangle in 2010.

#8. The Alaska Triangle, Alaska

The Alaska Triangle is also called Alaska’s Devil’s Graveyard, because so many ships and airplanes have disappeared in there.
Planes go down, hikers go missing and Alaskan residents and tourists seem to vanish into the largely untouched backdrop.

The so-called Alaska Triangle slices through four of the state’s regions, from the southeastern wilderness and fjords to the interior tundra and up to the arctic mountain ranges. Its points include the large swath of land from Juneau and Yakutat in the southeast, the Barrow mountain range in the north, and Anchorage in the center of the state.

#9. The Little Egypt Triangle, Illinois

The Southern Triangle of Illinois forms an area also given the name “Little Egypt” or “Egypt.” The Triangle forms nicely from the southern third of the state of Illinois. With the area code 618, the southern part of Illinois is geographically, culturally, and economically distinct from the rest of the state. The region is bordered by the most voluminous rivers in the United States: the Wabash and Ohio rivers to the east and south, and the Mississippi River and its connecting Missouri River to the west.

Southern Illinois’ most populated city is currently Belleville (see The Bell Name) at 44,478. Other principal cities include Alton, Centralia, Collinsville, Edwardsville, O’Fallon, Harrisburg, Mt. Vernon, Marion, and Carbondale, where the main campus of Southern Illinois University is located. It also has a campus at Edwardsville. Residents travel to amenities in St. Louis and Cape Girardeau, Missouri; Memphis, Tennessee; Evansville, Indiana; and Paducah, Kentucky. The region is also home to a major military installation, Scott Air Force Base.

I completed my undergraduate studies in anthropology/zoology at SIU-C. While there, and often not going to classes, I would investigate many Fortean and cryptozoological wonders in this area, from Black Panthers (Shawnee National Forest) to small red apes (swamps around Mt. Vernon and other towns), large birds (especially in the Alton area) to stone walls (across the Triangle). Several passages in my books, especially in Mysterious America, are about the cases in The Little Egypt Triangle.
The name game is strong in Little Egypt, with Thebes, Karnak, New Memphis, Dongola, and Cairo having lexilinks to ancient Egypt. SIU-C’s students attending Little Egypt’s leading university readThe Daily Egyptian and call their athletic teams “The Salukis” (Egyptian hunting dogs). In nearby states are West Memphis and Memphis. Some have related these names to the strong Egyptian influences in the Supreme Council, 33°, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, which had a sway over this area, technically south of the Mason/Dixon Line.
Little Egypt’s Fayville (see the Fayette Factor), Illinois, is an unincorporated community in Alexander County, Illinois, located along the Mississippi River south of Thebes.

#10. The Ossipee Triangle, New Hampshire

First appearing in print as “The Ossipee Triangle” in Info Journal, Vol 12-13, 1987, the label was inspired by The Bridgewater Triangle. The name was coined by investigator Ken Moak. The Ossipee Triangle includes most of Carrol County in eastern New Hampshire, and at the center is Ossipee Lake. The Ossipee Triangle is the home of Mystery Pond (now called Snake Pond), UFOs, Indian mounds, ghost stories, disappearances of boats and planes, and other oddities.

More on The Bridgewater Triangle/America’s Bermuda Triangle.

Triangle Documentary to See National Audience

In October of 2013, The Bridgewater Triangle documentary premiered to a sell-out crowd of over 750 people at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. One year later, the exclusive US broadcast rights to the film were licensed to Discovery Communications’ Destination America network. The channel will air a 42-minute (broadcast hour) version of the documentary under the title, America’s Bermuda Triangle, a name which they hope will help to draw-in a broader national audience. The film will broadcast on Saturday September 5th at 10:00 PM Eastern Time. Viewers are encouraged to check with their local cable and satellite providers for availability and channel number. To celebrate the occasion, a free viewing party will be held that same night at Christopher’s Lounge at 1285 Broadway in Raynham, Massachusetts. The event is open to the public and will begin at 8:00 PM with a screening of the original 90-minute directors’ cut of The Bridgewater Triangle. At 10:00 PM, Christopher’s many televisions will be tuned in to Destination America as The Bridgewater Triangle(airing as America’s Bermuda Triangle) makes its debut on national television. A number of the film’s cast and crew members will be present at the event.

First named and defined, in 1978, by world-renown cryptozoologist and author Loren Coleman, the 200-square-mile Bridgewater Triangle sits within the Southeastern portion of Massachusetts, and includes a number of locations known for unexplained occurrences; the most prominent of which include the legendary Hockomock Swamp and the infamous Freetown-Fall River State Forest. The triangle’s traditional boarders are revealed by connecting the dots between the town of Abington to the North, the town of Freetown to the Southeast, and the town of Rehoboth to the Southwest. The area hosts an unusually high volume of reports involving strange happenings, baffling mysteries and sinister deeds. From ghostly hauntings and cryptid animal sightings, to UFO encounters and evidence of satanic ritual sacrifice, the Bridgewater Triangle serves as one of the world’s most diverse hotspots for paranormal activity. The first-ever feature-length documentary on the subject,The Bridgewater Triangle explores the history of this fascinating region. The film features a number of local residents providing first-hand accounts of unexplained occurrences. In addition, an all-star assembly of paranormal researchers, folklorists and authors provide expert analysis regarding the many mysteries of the triangle. Among the film’s on-screen personalities are Loren Coleman, and Ghost Adventures writer and author Jeff Belanger.

During its twenty-two month long run, the independently produced documentary, which was filmed entirely in Massachusetts, has been featured on the nationally-syndicated Coast to Coast AM radio show, on WCVB’s Chronicle, on Fox 25’s Zip Trips, and in a segment on WJAR in Providence. The film has also been covered in a number of publications including the nationally-distributed Rue Morgue magazine and the Boston Globe. On the festival circuit, the documentary received the Audience Award at the 2014 Terror Con Film Festival, in Providence, won Best Documentary at the Winter 2015 Macabre Faire Film Festival on Long Island, New York, and won Best Local at the 2015 Granite State Film Festival, in Manchester, New Hampshire. Reviews of the movie have been positive, including eight favorable write-ups from independent critics, and an 8.0 out of 10 stars rating on the Internet Movie Database. In late 2014, The Bridgewater Triangle became available on UltraFlix, NanoTech Entertainment’s 4k movie streaming service.

The film’s producers hope that a successful run on Destination America will lead to additional opportunities, including a chance to be shown on Discovery Communications’ flagship network, the Discovery Channel, and the possibility of generating an international interest in The Bridgewater Triangle with overseas broadcast and distribution deals. The producers will also retain the film’s exclusive Blu-ray, DVD and Internet On-Demand distribution rights, and the original 90-minute feature will remain available through their website.

This early 2000s map of the Bridgewater Triangle was created for a Boston Globe article about the area, and gave a decidedly more humanlike slant to the traditions.

Another Bridgewater, Another Day of Violence

By: Twilight Language

The copycat effect is real. This event was scripted in the blood of others who died at Columbine, Virginia Tech, and Charleston. Be forewarned, the pattern is one known to the killers, so you should know it too. One week from this incident, more powerfully at the two-week mark, and then one month from today – four weeks and/or on the 26th – my friends in the media, especially doing live on air feeds, please be on guard. Be aware, be safe.

Violence has hit a another Bridgewater.

A gunman was on the loose early in the drama, after killing two broadcast journalists in a shooting that was captured on live television in Moneta, Virginia. It happened at the tourist attraction called Bridgewater Plaza, early Wednesday morning, August 26, 2015.

WDBJ camearman Adam Ward (far right, above) was filming reporter Alison Parker (middle) interviewing Vicki Gardner (below), the local chamber of commerce director, for a light-hearted segment at the water park at 6:45am when fifteen shots rang out.

Screams were then heard as the women duck and the camera falls to the floor. A person dressed all in black is then seen standing nearby with what appears to be a gun raised in one hand pointed at Ward.

Later, we were to discover the suspect’s name, Vester Lee Flanagan II, 41, who went by the media name Bryce Williams. He worked at the same station, WDBJ, and allegedly was fired two years earlier.

Guess what name game Vester is linked to?

Trees. (See “Trees Again.”)

Vester is from a Roman name meaning “of the forest,” from Latin silva, “wood, forest.”

The general manager at the CBS station later came on the air to confirm Parker and Ward’s deaths. Parker was 24 and Ward was 27.

ABC News said it received a 23-page fax from someone named Bryce Williams after the shooting. ABC shared the fax with police, and posted some of its contents Wednesday afternoon. The fax came about two hours after the shooting. Williams/Flanagan also called ABC twice in the hours after the shooting.

In the fax, Flanagan wrote, “Why did I do it? I put down a deposit for a gun on 6/19/15. The Church shooting in Charleston happened on 6/17/15 … What sent me over the top was the church shooting. And my hollow point bullets have the victims’ initials on them.”

He also referenced Virginia Tech shooter Seuing Hui Choi, calling him “his boy,” and expressed admiration for the Columbine High School shooters.

Vester Flanagan owned cats. One of the messages he included in his “manifesto,” “suicide note,” or whatever the media wishes to call it, is that he killed his cats in the forest.

Flanagan tweeted an old article about his discrimination suit days before the shooting. According to federal court records, he sued WTWC-TV, a Tallahassee, Florida station, in 2000 for “discrimination and retaliation.” The case was dismissed.

I was called and interviewed by USA Today, late in the day, regarding the copycat effect.

USA TODAY
“Disturbed’ Va. gunman angered by Charleston shootings

The increase in attacks on journalists plays into killers’ desire to get attention, said Loren Coleman, the author of The Copycat Effect. He said the rise in violence against journalists only increases the media’s interest in those attacks.

“One of the best ways to increase the dissemination of their message is by attacking the media,” Coleman said. “He knew exactly how his message, his manifesto, his grievances would get out there through the media.”

The live video has been widely disseminated (see here).
As many of my readers know, I coined the phrase “Bridgewater Triangle” in the 1970s, to describe a special area of bizarre Forteana, cryptids, and strange crime in Massachusetts. I first published about the Triangle in April 1980, in Boston Magazine, and in book form, in Mysterious America in 1983. A recent documentary, The Bridgewater Triangle, was made and now available, here, by professional filmmakers, directors Aaron Cadieux and Manny Famolare. A heavily-edited version, with 50% content, will be broadcast on September 5, 2015, on the cable network, Destination America with the new name, “America’s Bermuda Triangle.”

Roye Shooting Has Historical Illuminati Links

 By: Twilight Language

Today’s, August 25, 2015 attack on a family in France has weird links to the past treatment of the Illuminati.

A gunman has killed three members of the same family – including a baby – and a police officer, during a shooting at a travellers’ camp in northeastern France.

The suspect, who is a member of the traveller community in the town of Roye, killed a six-month-old baby, a woman and a man believed to be a grandfather during the attack at 4:30 p.m. local time, near an Intermarche supermarket, according to police and a Paris prosecutor. Another child was injured.

Police who responded to the scene were greeted with gunfire. The shooter (allegedly drunk) seriously injured one 44-year-old officer – who later died – and slightly wounded another.

A police source said that the incident is understood to be a “criminal matter,” and not linked to terrorism.

Intriguingly, the camp’s location (shown above) is directly tied to the history of the Illuminati.

Roye is a commune in the Somme department in Picardie in northern France. In 1634, religious refugees from Seville, Spain, known as the illuministes tried to establish themselves in France – in Roye. They claimed to be inspired by celestial messages. Pierre Guérin, curate of Saint-Georges de Roye, was converted and himself created many disciples, called “les Guérinistes.” The Catholic Church sought out and executed all of them, by 1635.

Illuministes: Yes, we are talking about the Illuminati. See also, here.
Today’s allegedly unrelated August 25th French shooting in Roye follows closely – in time and space – that of the Thalys, France, train attack of August 21st. Here is the Wikipedia summary of that event:

At approximately 17:45 (5:45 p.m.) on 21 August, on Thalys train 9364 traveling from Amsterdam to Paris, a 26-year-old Moroccan man, reportedly identified as Ayoub El-Kahzzani, was exiting the toilets on train car No. 12, reportedly as soon as the train passed the border into France. He was shirtless and visibly armed with a Kalashnikov rifle, for which he had nine magazines of ammunition.
A 28-year-old French banker, only known as “Damien A.”, was heading to the toilet as the armed gunman was exiting. Damien A. attempted to restrain or disarm the gunman but in the ensuing struggle lost his balance and fell to the floor. A French and American academic working at the Sorbonne, 51-year-old Mark Moogalian, then attempted to wrest the rifle from the gunman, who then drew an automatic Luger pistol and shot Moogalian through the back of the neck. According to Agnès Ogier, the director of Thalys, another bullet grazed the train’s conductor. The assailant also tried to shoot his rifle, but it jammed.
The gunman was then tackled and subdued by a group of three American friends, two of them off-duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces. They were identified as 23-year-old United States Air Force Airman First Class Spencer Stone of the 65th Air Base Wing; 23-year-old Sacramento State senior Anthony Sadler; and Alek Skarlatos, a 22-year-old Oregon Army National Guard Specialist on holiday after deployment in Afghanistan.Sadler told CNN that when the gunman opened fire, Skarlatos yelled “Get him!” after which “Spencer immediately gets up to charge the guy, followed by Alek, then myself.” In an interview with Sky News, Skarlatos added that they had been lucky that the attacker’s rifle had jammed.
Stone was reportedly the first one to attack the gunman and was slashed multiple times while trying to subdue him, sustaining injuries at the head and neck. Stone put him in the chokehold, holding on though the assailant was cutting him with a box cutter, nearly severing his thumb. Skarlatos seized the assailant’s rifle and beat him in the head with the muzzle of it until he was unconscious. A British passenger, 62-year-old businessman Chris Norman, and an unidentified Frenchman came to their aid to hold the gunman down. They used Norman’s T-shirt to tie his arms behind his back. They then helped Moogalian, who was losing a lot of blood through his gunshot wound. Stone initially tried to wrap his shirt around the wound, despite having an injured hand and cut eye. However, he realized it was not going to work and instead stuck two of his fingers down Moogalian’s wound, found the carotid artery, and pushed down, which stopped the bleeding.
A video made with a cellphone shows the alleged perpetrator immobile, lying hogtied on the floor of the train, and blood visible on the windows and seats.
As the attack took place, the train, which was carrying 554 passengers, was passing Oignies in the Pas-de-Calais department. It was rerouted to the station of nearby Arras. Moogalian was airlifted to the University Hospital in Lille, while Stone later underwent surgery on his injured hand.

Trees Again: Theater Shooting in Maple Grove

 By: Twilight Language

L

On August 11, 2015, I wrote about the sites of recent shootings, and noted: “The common denominator in all of these names: trees.”

I looked at incidents aligned with Hickory, Oak, Willow, and Beech. Names of trees.

I ended that quick review by writing, “Are tree-linked locations worth watching for future risks? What’s next? What happens tomorrow? Or more likely, on August 19, exactly four weeks after the July 22ndTrainwreck shooting? That fits into the copycat effect pattern, specifically.”

Looking for the 19th, the exact four weeks mark, I’d forgotten that sometimes the “anniversary syndrome” goes for the specific same number in one month…in this case, the 22nd of August.

And what happened on the 22nd?

Enki King alerted me to what occurred with a simple subject line: Trees Again.
Another theater-related shooting occurred at a location with four tree-linked names – Maple Grove,Arbor (= tree) Lakes, and Elm Creek Boulevard, plus the nearby Hemlock Lane. Also, there’s another tree name, but more on that later.

At about 10:00 pm Central Time on Saturday, August 22, 2015, a shooting took place outside aMaple Grove movie theater, which sent two people to the hospital. The exact location was at the parking lot of the AMC Arbor Lakes 16 Theater, 12575 Elm Creek Boulevard North, Maple Grove, Minnesota theater.
I don’t need to be pounded in the face with this massive “coincidence” to consider this name game worthy of my attention, needless to say.
According to Maple Grove police, the event began at the AMC theater, but the officers found the victims at a Wendy’s, 7445 71st Avenue, Brooklyn Park, Minnesota (shown below).

The Fast Food Side Trip…

The so-called infamous “Wendy’s Massacre” took place on May 24, 2000, at the Wendy’s Restaurant, 40-12 Main Street, Flushing, Queens, New York, leaving five customers dead and two wounded. On March 3, 2008, at a Wendy’s in West Palm Beach, Florida, two were killed (including the shooter by suicide), and four injured.

On Friday, August 21, 2015, a savage killing at a McDonald’s in New York City made the Big Apple’s tabloids. The alleged man with the knife is named Jesus Santiago, 46. “Santiago” means Saint James. The homeless man who was killed is named Orlando Rivera, 38. Orlando = fame of the land, and Riveria = river bank, coast.

For other recent surveys of fast food mass killings and mayhem, see here, here, and here.

Meanwhile in Maple Grove, Minnesota…
“It appears, at this time, the victims left this area, fled this area, and went to another location [the Wendy’s] and that’s where they called 911,” said Capt. Adam Lindquist of the Maple Grove Police Department.

Whoa. The name Lindquist means linden tree + twig. Yes, another tree name. (Deep appreciation toaferrismoon for sending that insight along.)

The victims were injured but will recover after hospitalization.

Police then quickly blocked off a section of the theater parking lot to gather evidence.
Lindquist said. “We’re gathering all the information. We’re going to put as many pieces of the puzzle together. It’s an open investigation and hope to bring closure and figure out exactly what happened and find who’s responsible for the shooting.”

Moviegoers didn’t know a shooting had occurred, and no one inside the theater was hurt.
Police have not made any arrests and haven’t given information on a potential motive.
Lindquist said the public is safe.

Another time/tree sync. Thanks to Enki King who passes along this:

More than one Maple Grove has emerged from the twilight and into the news this week. In a strange and tragic event, a man was killed by police in a church in Maple Grove, NC on the 19th. This Maple Grove is located in Haywood County.

ABC News reported:

An Army veteran who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder was killed in an exchange of gunfire with law enforcement at a church in the North Carolina mountains, officials and a charity said Thursday [August 20, 2015].
The shooting on Wednesday [August 19, 2015] happened after officers from multiple agencies responded to an emergency call claiming four people were shot, according to a news release from the State Bureau of Investigation.
When officers arrived at Maple Grove Baptist Church in Waynesville, the emergency call turned out to be false. The SBI said there were no shooting victims, and the only person at the church was 44-year-old Wade Allen Baker of the nearby community of Clyde.
A short standoff ensued, and Baker exchanged gunfire with officers, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were hurt…

Another Killing At Twin Peaks

 By: Twilight Language

Twin Peaks had another shooting on August 19, 2015. It happened in the 20900 block of I-45, 20931 Gulf Freeway, in Webster, Texas, around 10:28 p.m. Wednesday. Most of the shooting took place in the parking lot.

Law enforcement officers surrounded the Twin Peaks restaurant in Webster after shots were fired during a fight, which left one dead and another wounded. Two groups of people were reportedly involved in the fight, which led to a man pulling out a gun and opening fire.

A mother at the scene said she tried to protect her son and his friend as an argument began.

The shooter fled with two other men. All three were later located in nearby Alvin, Texas, and weretaken into custody for questioning.

It will be recalled that nine people were killed Sunday, May 17, 2015, in a shooting among rival motorcycle gang members in Waco, Texas, at a Twin Peaks (so-called) “breastaurant.”

The David Lynch series, Twin Peaks, is returning to Showtime in 2016.

E’Dena Hines: Murdered at the Witching Hour

Update: Another Batman sync

Actress Yvonne Craig, best known for her role as Batgirl in the 1960s’ Batman TV series, died at 78 on Monday, August 17, 2015. Craig also played Martha, the green Orion Slave Girl who wanted to kill Captain Kirk, in the third season of Star Trek. Her other guest appearances on TV include The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Fantasy Island, The Mod Squad and The Many Lives of Dobie Gillis. She also starred in two movies opposite Elvis Presley, It Happened at the World’s Fair and Kissin’ Cousins.

Earlier….

It was 3 am (the real witching hour) and the victim was 33. And it happened near a street with a power name.

E’Dena Hines was found murdered. It became mainstream news because her grandfather by adoption is the actor Morgan Freeman. News reports talk of him as her step-grandfather or god-grandfather. E’Dena was the granddaughter of Morgan’s first wife Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, and Freeman had adopted Bradshaw’s daughter, therefore establishing a relationship with Hines that was a close one. For years, Freeman took Hines to film openings, as his plus one.

E’Dena means “of the valley.” Hines can mean “of God’s Grace,” or as a derivative of eidhean, “ivy.”

This is Morgan Freeman with E’Dena Hines at the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.
In 2008, there was talk of The Dark Knight curse, and Freeman almost died in an automobile accident. See here.
It will be recalled that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward was the focus of the dramatic destruction scene of the Gotham Football Stadium in The Dark Knight Rises.Back to the weekend…

On August 16, 2015, police responding to a 911 call at about 3 am found 33-year-old E’Dena Hines lying on the street with multiple stab wounds to her chest. She was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital. Hines, an actress who had appeared on Broadway and on red carpets at Freeman’s side, was stabbed 16 times, officials said. Hines was attacked on West 162 Street near St. Nicholas Avenue, a few buildings from where she lived, law enforcement authorities and other sources reported.

Lamar Davenport (or Lyric, as his rapper name labeled him) was screaming, “Get out, devils! I cast you out, devils! In the name of Jesus Christ, I cast you out” over E’Dena’s copse.
Police said Davenport was in a relationship with Hines.
Was Lyric part of the weird music Illuminati underground?
Despite strange YouTube attempts to tie Morgan Freeman to the Illuminati, there does not seem to be anything but conspiracy speculation in that direction. Anyone can have freckles.

But what of the killing being near St. Nicholas Avenue?

Nicholas: From the Greek name Νικολαος (Nikolaos) which meant “victory of the people.”

Jim Brandon wrote me in 2012, that he “wanted to add…to the Names of Power list – Nicholas and permutations (from Old Nick and Santa Claus up)….”

I mentioned Brandon’s and Matthew Bell’s article on Nick/Nicholas/Nichols here in 2013.

Police arrested 30-year-old Lamar Davenport, 30, at the scene, and later charged him with second-degree murder.

Lamar is a word in use as a feminine Arabic name meaning “liquid gold.”
The Daily Mirror says that E’Dena had recently returned to NYC after teaching underprivileged youth in Memphis, Tennessee.Hines was a graduate of NYU’s Graduate Acting Program and played Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun on Broadway in 2012.

She’d left the city to teach in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, but returned to New York in April 2015, to co-star in the indie film Landing Up.

“She was an amazing, incredible, loving human being,” the film’s director, Daniel Tenenbaum, toldThe New York Post. Stacey Maltin is also a writer/producer/actor on the film.

In two Batman syncs…

On Saturday, August 15, 2015, Donald Trump made a dramatic entrance at the Iowa State fair, spending time giving rides to children aboard his multi-million dollar helicopter.

After a group of children boarded his helicopter, one nine-year-old child filmed the experience on video.

“Mr. Trump … Are you Batman?” the child asked.

“I am Batman,” Trump replied.

Meanwhile…

Late on Sunday, August 16, 2015, Leonard (“Lenny”) Robinson, 51, of Owing Mills, Maryland, known for visiting hospitalized children dressed as Batman, died in a crash on a western Maryland highway after his Batmobile had engine trouble.

He was checking the engine of his Batmobile while standing in the fast lane of eastbound I-70 Sunday night when his car was hit by a Toyota Camry. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the unincorporated community of Big Pool.

Owing Mills is the home to the Baltimore Ravens’ headquarters facility and many companies. The TV program Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser was produced by Maryland Public Television at its studios in Owings Mills; many viewers became familiar with the town as the mailing address of the program. Many people have also become familiar with the town as the mailing address of the weekly automotive series MotorWeek. Local roads can often be seen on the program.

Big Pool, the body of water formed when the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal was made, which of course, gave the name to the area. To the south of Big Pool lies Fort Frederick State Park, a restored fort used during the French and Indian War. Also nearby is the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park, which lies near Ft. Frederick alongside the Potomac River.

Known as the Route 29 Batman, Robinson had spent the weekend at SummerFest in South Charleston.
